I'm buying some to put in the V8 next year. Its not cheap though. The engine has to be bone dry and free from water. So you have to drain and dry as best as possible and then fill with Evans pre treatment coolant to extract any residual water. You can use the pre treat 3 times I think, but it has to be stored in air tight containers.

Then add the main coolant and race. Main coolant can be used over and over again as long as its dry stored between refills.

This stuff has a boiling point of 180C at sea level. So at engine normal engine temps for racing (around 100C) there is no pressure in the cooling system. And no air either

7 litres of pre treat and 7 litres of coolant is about £210 though. But the fact that the cooling system will have no pressure build when hot is appealing to me.

I looked into this too, corrosion reduction and less pressure in the system are really good plus points.

Problem for me is I have the car in bits a lot and it's expensive to top up, plus the block drains are seized.

Did you see on wheeler dealers where he opened the rad cap at running temp?, very impressive! .

I have looked at this too, its a much better medium than water as an engine coolant.
Problem I have is that its just too expensive!

If i didn't have my car in bit's so often tinkering with things, i'd use it.

You can re use this over and over as long as you put it back in the tin with the lid on tight

Yes, but i always loose a bit on the floor everytime i do anything with the hoses or rad!

I'm lucky because I can chuck the drain pan under the bottom hose on the rad and loosen the clip. This drains half the engine into the pan. Then I pull the hose off the pump and use a wet vac to get the engine almost dry. I reckon only 5% at most is left in the block

I'll order my coolant when Santa brings the wages next week
