After a few last minute jobs and a remap tomorrow I am heading to Shakey to meet up with a group of TVRs for some 1/4 mile fun this weekend.

For me it will be a good shakedown exersize ahead of Easter weekends racing at York.

Anybody else going to Shakey?

I had the car remapped and checked the AFRs on the rollers on Friday. Running on crappy 95 ron go juice, managed 312 bhp with 275 @ wheels. Then we ran the car with a fied WOT 75 shot and got 366 but think there was too much retard for such a small shot. So the last run was with the 75 at WOT + a 65 shot second stage on a pushbutton. I was happy to see 418 bhp with 394 @ wheels. When leaving the gearbox or clutch was making some nasty grinding noises while the clutch is disengaged. Hopefully just a worn plate or issue with the release bearing. The car ran well on track despite this and a new terminal speed PB. Just need to get that launch sorted back to 1.8 60 foots.

PS the car that beat me in this race is a Cerbera with a 6.9 ltr LS3 on throttle bodies with a ridiculous 535 bhp @ wheels.

Cheers Pel.
Weather was cool and cloudy and racing was into a headwind. I felt a few spots of rain but it held off.

An 11.6 with a poor 2.0 to 60 foot and a 127 terminal shows the gas is giving me plenty of push.
What do we reckon with a 1.75 to 60 foot? It has to be 11.3 at least doesnt it?

Easily achiveable I would say mate. Especially if you can launch it hard with no wheelspin :)
Ripple wall slicks help a lot in the 60 foot area without a doubt. What rear tyres are you using?

I have MT street et radials and know they are capable. The LS Cerbera has exactly the same and recorded a 1.622 on Saturday.
I believe its all down to my clutch, suspension settings and of course my skills innit.
That 2.0 was off the mark as was the 7.777 to the 1/8th. Ive previously ran 1.85 and 7.59 so theres definately an 11.4 in the car just getting a run good as ive already had.

Was at a very damp York Raceway over Easter.

Only had 2 practice runs and 1 qualifier on the Monday.

On street tyres, no gas, pedalling in 3rd and 4th managed a lowly 13.6 @ 108

Unbelievably i got number 1 qualifier and took the full 2000 points as the meet was abandonded before any eliminations took place.
