I've ditched the old 4.6 and fitted a (heavily) modified 3.9 now.

Dyno last saturday saw the new engine pulling 402hp with no nitrous and at half boost of 7psi with AfR well rich at 10.2 :)

This was fun but I've found that the weber 800 carb is too small. I've just bought a 1050 dominator to play with for next season.

The old 4.6 made just 350hp with this tune ???

I'm hoping to get close to my old PB of 10.2 on the strip with boost only. Then I'll turn the WoN system back on to see if that will help me find that elusive 9 second timing ticket ???

Sounds a good place to start from so the best of luck for next season.

BTW we now have a customer who has added 750 HP of nitrous through a Spider and he's produced evidence of how it offers unique advantages, over ANY other injection arrangement. We're now on with creating an all new Spider that will flow 1,500 HP for this same guy as he ran an EASY 4.8 sec 1/8 mile run using the 750 set up and he now wants to be CERTAIN, that he has enough to beat the existing world record holder which is a blown car that's run of 4.65 secs.

When he beats the blown car I wonder how long it will be before that guy takes your route and adds nitrous to the blower, assuming the rules permit which I'd guess they don't so he'll never get to enjoy your experience. ;)

I have to say that I'm quite excited at the mo!!

Got the carb from a guy who is restoring another of Tim Hines Escorts. Not the one you used to have, but a later model I think??

He's from Wakefield and a really nice guy to deal with.
