Hi everyone,
Thought I'd do a 'quick' intro beings I'm new to the world of NOS and a proud owner of the Wizard of NOS Streetblaster 100i kit that I picked up second hand from one of the guys on the Scirocco Forum.
I'm Shane from Oulton Broad and I work at the huge white tit on the coast that is Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station.
I'm an Instrumentation / Telecom's Technician or Nuclear Professional....
The kit was nicely installed onto a Mk.3 16v Golf that was chipped from the standard 150BHP to 174BHP and then had a 50shot of NOS and it went!!!
So i bought the WoN kit complete with a huge cylinder, minimax controller and all the other bits.
I've ordered Samco Hoses which arrive in 4 weeks, new thermostat and rad switch (these are from the USA and switch at 82C instead of the UK 92C), I've also got to flush the whole system through and finally add some water wetter.
The car is now only driven during summer, though it hasn't been out of the garage since May 2010 after a fantastic Europe trip that myself and our son did through 6 countries (Holland, Belgium, Germany & the Ring, Luxembourg, Millau in the South of France and finally ending up in Spain!), 2507miles in 10 days, not bad for a 22 year old car
I've always wanted to install a NOS kit, just to be different i spose and with a lot of background research there was really only one name that kept cropping up 'Wizards of NOS', so i wasn't going to settle for anything other than this kit.
I've reached the maximum my engine can do in the way of mod's, next step would be to go to a bigger head, maybe change the engine etc but for my trusty 8V it's pushing out 150BHP & 140ft/lbs, so why not go for a bit of Nitrous.
Anyway enough of me and look forward to being part of an elite group of Wizards of NOS owners......insist on the best!
Here's my pride and joy!
