Hi All :)

I was just testing posting ability , due to the lack of posts on the site, but now I realise that most posts are now hitting the Facebook page, although I am not sure thats a good idea, as there is no real Moderator control there.... but we will see... :)

All the best Brett :)

OK!
Time to go off topic as usual...

FACEBOOK !!!
Thats a wierd place eh? I only joined to keep up with a select bunch of racers and the Pod. I've got 5 pages of folk wanting to be my friend because they know someone I know! WHY?

One bloke asked to be my friend the other day and it said he had over 800 friends?? WHO on earth has 800 mates ??

Now I have the problem of family asking me why I wont Friend them on facebook. My answer is always the same.. "you know where I live, you have my phone numbers, you have my email address, why would I want to go to a website for a chat?"

800 mates.. REALLY :(

Rant over :D

Back on topic.. The forum seems fine apart from the log on thing. Good work chaps. XX

Hi All :)

I think there are a few problems with Facebook...

It seems to be a generation thing...if you are under 25 you probably love it and over that age you mostly ignore it..... I only recently started a very private Facebook page for personal family reasons, otherwise I would never have joined...

The problem with a business running a Facebook page are that if anyone complains (either justly or unjustly) they can and will delete your pages totally and are not known for being fast reinstating them if you appeal....

Secondly as its a "younger generation" thing, then by default those users have less money generally to spend.

Maybe its just me being an old grump lol, but FB really is not my thing...

All the best Brett :)

Agree with both Bret and Perry, fb is crap really unless you've got loads of spare time to waste.

My girlfriend set up face book for me thinking that would get me into it....hmm no :beatstick: . I don't even know my log in details!!, and she logs in from time to time and as Perry says....there's always 100's of people who want to be your 'friend'. Most i don't know and they don't know me either, what's that all about!!!!

Ironic how it seems the new forum has put people off or they can't log in, but the very thing it was aimed at stopping has happened this morning...spam all over the place!!!!!!!! :tard:

Ian
