So as not to bog down the snowmobile thread I thought I'd carry on here looking for the answer I need.
Trev!
I still dont see the theory here.

Do you see what I'm getting at? If you flow an amount of liquid from the bottle in a fixed time period to meet a demand the pressure drop would be the same regardless of what was between bottle and injector wouldnt it?
NOPE and I hope I've provided adequate info to clarify and prove that for you.

I'm not trying to start an argument. Just a discussion. From your answer you are saying that I could still flow my old 300 shot of nitrous and get less pressure drop if I use the Boss Noss system. Thats the way I read your answer.
All I'm trying to say is, if I flow my 300 shot as liquid through my won system for 10 seconds my bottle will lose a fixed amount of gas and pressure.

If I use the BN system and fit big enough jets to ensure I spray enough less dense nitrous at the lower pressure to match my proper 300 shot (in respect of liquid used in the fixed test time with won) the same amount of liquid will have left the bottle in the same amount of time. So surely the bottle pressure will have to have dropped the same as it did using my won system.
The above assumes two identical bottles at same weight, pressure and temp!
I dont see how the bottles cannot have lost the same pressure?

No problem but you're making my brain work extra hard to deal with this for you as some things are just not that easy to explain, especially in text form or at best very time consuming.

From your answer you are saying that I could still flow my old 300 shot of nitrous and get less pressure drop if I use the Boss Noss system. Thats the way I read your answer.
NO that's not what I'm saying; You'll actually see MORE pressure drop AT THE BOTTLE (due to more nitrous being needed in gas form to make the same power, assuming the engine didn't detonate to death in the process) but because THE NITROUS OUTPUT TO THE ENGINE has been regulated down to 300 psi, as long as the falling bottle pressure never drops as low as 300 psi, THE ENGINE WILL SEE A CONSTANT NITROUS PRESSURE/DELIVERY - IN THEORY. In actual practice there is a strong probability, that flowing that much with such a big drop in pressure (and therefore temperature), the system would start to freeze up at the reg and play havoc with the flow, long before you'd completed your run.

All I'm trying to say is, if I flow my 300 shot as liquid through my won system for 10 seconds my bottle will lose a fixed amount of gas and pressure.
Agreed.

Hopefully we're clear on all that now. ;)
