That's a long way to go for a RWYB and unfortunately it's been rained off.

It's been red hot all week we've been here and just when I was going to get to be involved in some motorsport it bloody rains.

You'd think you'd be safe from rain offs in Malta.

It was on today though :)
Popped in just in case on the way back from the big seaside market and aviation museum a few miles away and caught the last hours racing. Weapons of choice here seem to be MK1 Escort, Sierra's and Busa's. There were Busa's all over the place. Saw the yellow one with the Revo and won stickers, but didint see it run.

Its been nice weather today so lots of oldies on the road for sunday spins. So far the leader board is, Mini's (lots of them) Moggy Minors, MK1 Escorts, MK2 Escorts, Anglia's and funnily enough, lots of Skoda Rapids knocking around ??

I think they only have one front spoiler in the shops here, because I've seen it fitted to a dozen assorted small cars. Lots of cars with big boy exhausts fitted too :)

The timing lights werent showing times though. The guy in the tower was shouting them out over the tannoy.

Also saw quite few stock cars on trailers, but couldnt find out where the circuit is?

Gozo tomorrow if weather is nice...

FYI
Anyone thinking of a short break to Malta. The Drag strip is next to the airport :)

My grandson was being christend in Mdina yesterday, so I couldn't make it to the Drag strip but there was some GREAT vintage car racing round Mdina, so we watched that for an hour before the service. :)

There are 3 REVO Busa's here in Malta but 2 of them are still being built and the 3rd one you saw was having shifter problems AGAIN!!

Popped into a local car museum. Its a few mins walk from my hotel. What a fantastic private collection :)

I've done 400 miles in 6 days around Malta and Gozo. I think we have a good idea of where to stay next time we visit.

I'll make sure to plan the next visit to coincide with more race events ;)

I'll post up some pics from the drag strip when I get back.

I've had time to get my head clear for the new engine build that went pear shaped three weeks ago.

If my ebay auction that ends tonight goes ok I'll be able to start the final build in two weeks.

But in the meantime I'll be resting Friday after I get back and then off to the Pod for the whole weekend
