I am meeting up with a few TVRs and my mates Jensen again at Shakey on the 29th.
It will probably be this years last test day for me before next year.

At the last meet there a few weeks ago i ran within 0.02 seconds of my PB with a 11.65 @ 123
This was with only a 65 shot of gas and an off par launch taking me to 60 foot in 1.9
I managed a 60 foot of 1.83 on an airfiled a couple of weeks before that.

So a few minor changes and i should be set to celebrate a new PB weather permitting.

A new 4AN line from my first stage bottle will give me a true 100 shot.
Front shocks set to full soft.
Rear compression near to full hard
Any advice on settings for rear rebound and low speed damping will be appreciated.
I have been runing my MT streets as low as 11 lb so maybe take them back up to 13

I will try and make the most of the day trying different settings and maybe making more of an effort to warm the tyres than i usually do.

So what do we reckon guys? An 11.4 @ 125+ ?
Any other advice?

So heres the excuses.

Had issues with overheating or suspected dodgy gauge or sender that had me worried.
The fuelling was out and had to be reguessed as i had to swap my plenum. So the TPS was out of sync with the mapping. I tweaked it to get the wideband into the 'safe' zone.
The track was cold and the weather was a little damp.
I didnt get enough heat into the tyres on the few runs i had...... etc etc.

I couldnt get the power down on launch so my 60 foots were off by over a tenth at best and 2-3 tenths at worst.
However i did manage a PB with a terminal of 125.37 mph. This was with a 2 stage. 100 bhp at full throttle and another 65 bhp on a pushbutton for the second 1/8th dropping me below 4 seconds for that 1/8.

So with warm tyres and a decent hook up i reckon at least 11.4 is on the cards. Might have to wait till next year now and i am sure there will be a few changes to the car by then also so maybe getting close to the 10's.

The 600+bhp LS3 powered Cerbera turned up on the day and was also struggling. At the end of the day he did a proper smokey burnout on brand new MT streets and hooked up a 1.69 to 60 foot and onto a 10.7 @ 133. Awesome.

If you managed the second 1/8th in under 4 seconds Del !!!

Then your 10 second run is well and truly on the cards for 2012 mate.. Well Done

I think you may be right. Always find good grip on the startline at York. It can be lost again mid track which can be fun.

My full ticket.....

Reaction 0.576
60 foot 2.144  this is 3 tenths off where i should be!
330 ft 5.517
660 ft 8.118
mph1 97.28
990 ft 10.235
1320 ft 12.112
mph2 125.37

This was the last run of the day on a damp track.

A 100 shot was used at full throttle in 2nd,3rd and 4th
and a 65 shot on a pushbutton was added in 3rd and 4th.

I have the power i need, just need to get to York, warm those tyres properly then a low 11 will be had.
I think a little more nitrous and some fine tuning will be required for that 10 Perry. Maybe towards the end of the year ;)
