I've just had my work for the weekend moved form Sat to Sunday so I'm taking the MG to the Pod this Sat 4th June for some test runs.

I've got te DP system part installed but need to order a bunch of Y's and some tubing before I can finish it in time for Retro :)

Will be there on Saturday, got plenty of runs in last year , not to much waiting in lanes.

Yep it was another great meet up eh Austin :)
Most of the old gang back together (apart from the party poopers Rich and Steve) eh??

Only joking fella's.. We wouldnt have had time to chat cos we were busy making PB's

I even beat a Mustang in my Fiat Turbo. And it aint even got the won stuff fitted yet

I'm well happy with finding the sweet spot for the 11.7's on the blower at only 7psi. I've just ordered the new pulley to take me up to 10psi.

Stu's MG Midget PB'd with a 15.8 which is almost 1 second off his last PB. Then he went out again with a small tweak on the won system to back it up. Back it up?? He smashed it with a 15.4

This is a 1275cc MG Midget remember. He now looks at Golf GTI's in his rear view mirror on the track. I reckon with a bit of TLC that little Midge will be knocking out high 14's by the end of this year. This thing is only 1 second slower than my little 2 litre turbo on the strip ??

Well done Stu!
Austin, I hope the LSD isnt too big a job mate. And the best news of all is that we have got Tricky's head straight and he's going to put the TR8 back together with all the old running gear asap so we can get him out next season after doing some mods to the rear end and front suspension. I dangled a carrot by letting him know that I will put my whole blower setup on the TR7 for a weekend at the Pod next year. That way he can get to experience it before he decides to buy one ;)

Rich!
We can talk about your purge next weekend.

Regards to all.

Pel

I want to be along joining in the fun asap but may have to swap my cam unless i can iron the tuning enough.

Good to see you are consistant with the 11.7's Perry.
Another 3 psi may give you another 50 bhp and into the low 11's i reckon.
With the planned DP i think we need to get the champers chilled ready

Well yes kind of.
The ECU is TVR tweaked for rev limit etc but has been fitted with a chip to suit the 'Torqueflow' AFM that i had fitted a couple of years ago. This was tuned to give me very good fuelling at the time giving my 4.6 273 bhp.
With the new engine build this set up is probably out of its tuneable scope.

I have Megasquirt2 ordered but will have to wait 2 weeks for delivery before a panic fit before I go to Glastonbury. I am hoping to drop the car off somewhere before then to be mapped.

I will carry out a few checks on the engine this weekend but it looks like I will be fitting a mild cam the following weekend to get the car running nicely.

Fair enough. The 14cux isn't all that user friendly for modifying, you can hack them with winols and see all the maps/tables and tweek them (one of 5 depending on which tune resistor you have fitted etc etc etc).

Swapping ecu is the easiest option though!
