I popped in on Sunday as I got a call at 10.45am to say that any car could sign on due to lack of cars on track. So I took the Fiat and had some fun..
The weather was great and I met a good few mates on site :)

Well done to Rich and Viv

Sorry that was my fault :)
I organised a TVR shootout and we had a good turnout.
Sadly my cars new engine let go on the way there and i arrived on a truck.
Mine was the blue Chimaera with white stripes that was surrounded by BMWs on Sunday morning as i had to camp over waiting for my new RAC membership to kick in so i could get home :(

And I was in the Yellow Fiat Coupe turbo that spanked a few bimmers on track??? The guy in the M3 was shocked :)

He didnt know that i had fitted a 40 shot of won the night before

A simple quick installation with a fly lead to a push button so i could spray for 3 seconds in 3rd and 4th gears :)

It was quite funny to be in the queue of bimmers in a Fiat :)

Nobody spoke to me ???

A great day out all in all for me....

If you'd like the best possible advice available on building Rover engines the CORRECT way before you rebuild it, I'd be happy to oblige.

Ive been messing with Rover V8s for 25 years and totally rebuilt my first engine back then to a standard spec and it was a fantastic engine in my SD1.

It is all my own fault this time. I left the clever technical stuff to an expert and the work was very good. All i had to do was bolt on the 'easy' bits. I missed a spacer behind the pulley bolt (these dont exist on the older V8's I am familiar with) and the pulley moved forward disengaging the oil pump gear. I hoped i caught it in time when i lost pressure and the following week took the risk to drive to the pod.
Its now obvious there was damage and it seems i may have spun a bearing. We will see the extent of the damage not this weekend but the Friday after.
I am just praying its just bearings and a crank grind and no further damage has occured to my expensive forged pistons or the block itself.

Just been sent this via the Bimmer Forum.
Vivienne (in our 840) Vs an M6.

I never saw her do this and I suspect she was concentrating so much, she had no idea she was against an M6
