This is the colour, but it isnt the actual car... Too dark to take pics right now :)

Don't they use these in Europe somewhere as police cars? Or use to use them. Sounds pretty bloody cheap to me for a 2litre turbo.

I think I'm thinking of Top Gear, when Jeremy puts large spikes on the rear wheels and paints it in police colours.

Just been through the papaerwork and in the last 4000 miles its had:
new cam belt and tensioner
New aux belts and tensioner
New water pump
Oil and filter change
new heavy duty fast road clutch

2000 miles ago it had 4 new Eagle F1 tyres fitted which have plenty of rubber on them

And it also has an uprated Walbro fuel pump, Miltek stainless steel cat back exhaust with decat, stainless steel exhaust manifold, K&N setup + catch tank.

No wonder the guy as grumpy about having to let it go. But then he needed it gone overnight and i came to the rescue. Just paid the scrap metal value for it :D :D

Two main problems are:
exhaust manifold gasket blowing (looks a pain to get at) and the alrm system keeps putting the hazrads on although it starts and drives ok??

I love the whoosh from the dump valve as well :)

This could be a fun little car I think??

Bugger me!!

This thing is a real pocket rocket :D :D

It's now mot'd taxed and insured so I took it out for some fun this evening..

I dropped the boost from 22psi which seemed way too much. I set it to 15psi at 5000 rpm and it runs really sweet right up to the red line.

I was going to pop to the Fast Show for a few hours on Sunday. But I'm going early in the morning for the whole weekend now. Or until it breaks :omgrofl:

there must be a high 13 or a flat 14 in this little terror???

Ha Ha!!

What a different driving experience. Front wheel drive turbo manual vs RWD V8 auto??

I dont know how to drive the thing. But I got 6 runs in to learn how. I'm going back tomorrow to try again.

I've got a dump valve.. And I aint afraid to use it :)

I made a flat 15 at 97mph with 13psi on the boost gauge. Tomorrow I'm adding 4 more psi to see how that goes...

After faffing with how to getr this thing moving. Basically learning how to drive it. We took it to ther Pod for test runsd against my Sons Focus ST.

Heres a couple of my wins :)

Only running down to 14.4 but still a real hoot.

Cam is in Jays Focus...

1st run is Jay forgetting to turn off traction control. 2nd run is him with tractionn off and me with 3psi more boost.

It funny eh Ted :)

I was out with Jay today in the Fiat and we did some test passes on the local industrial estate. It seems 4700 rpm is the best shift point for the Fiat as it drops me right back into max boost and torque..

When I go back to the Pod I'll get Jason to follow me up in the Fiat so he can be my other lane buddy while I test the MG.

I've got about 10 vids from last Saturday but my broadband has gone tits and its taking 45 mins to load the Apple vids ??

I'll stick more on when I get a moment..

This car has only cost me £360.00 to buy, mot and tax for 6 months.. I have old fart fully comp insurance for £27 a month as well. I love this little screamer. But I might just flog it with a months tax and 6 months mot left so I can buy more stuff for the MGB.

It even happens to me at the start of a season.. :)

You can hack your car perfect all day long on the road. But as soon as you rock up to the lights on the drag strip stuff goes wrong :)

You soon get used to it though. ;)
