Hi All :)

Not really my place to say but to reassure everyone who is worried, neither Janet or Trev are in any danger and hopefully both will be home soon to recover...

All the best Brett :)

Hey guys,
Both Trev and Janet are making a speedy recovery after the accident. I visited them both yesterday and although Trev's got a few more days left in hospital Janet is out and relaxing at home. Both have suffered fairly severe chest injuries with fractured ribs and sternum (I have no idea how you spell that haha). Trev also had his (only) foot reconstructed as it was badly broken in multiple places but so far the doctors think he will be able to walk on it again in time. Even so they're both in high spirits and we laughed a lot while I was there, apparantly Trev was laughing and joking minutes after the accident and even nearly had the ambulance staff faint when his false leg fell off.
I've seen both cars (have yet to upload the pics) and let's say it's pretty obvious the accident was a severe one. The other car (a golf) isn't even recognisable from the front. Trev's car will soon be off to it's grave as the impact was great enough to even bend the rear quarter. Amazingly no one from either car was critically injured and (as far as I'm aware) everyone walked from the accident (well Trev kind of hobbled lol).
I'm sure Trev will be on soon to give the full story so I'll not get into that right now. On behalf of Trev and Janet thank you for the wishes!

Hi All :)

I have spoken to both Trev and Janet today and both are doing ok...

Trev asked me to post here ....

Firstly and most importantly he would like to thank you all for your concern and good wishes , both he and Janet appreciate it hugely :)

The accident was caused by a Lithuanian gentleman who decided to overtake two large trucks on a single carriageway road as he approached a blind bend on the wrong side of the road and Trev and Janet were coming the other way...

So without going into too many details, there was a head on crash which was obviously not Trevs fault, in fact I think the other guy has now been charged with dangerous driving.

I wont go into the various injuries that both Trev and Janet suffered, but Janet has now come home and Trev should hopefully be home by the weekend :) :) :)

I have absolutely no doubt that knowing Trev, he will be back posting here as soon as he possibly can, so any questions, technical or otherwise will be answered as soon as possible, so a little patience would be greatly appreciated :)

I will post this at the end of the other thread as well and leave it to Trev to decide if he wants to amalgamate the two threads :)

I like all of you wish Trev and Janet the very very best in their recovery and Wizards of Nos are running normally and its business as usual, if there are any urgent queries, please ring Ant or Dave on 01302-834343.

All the best Brett :)

Ouch just seen this

Glad Trev and Janet are on the mend & going to be ok, from the sounds of it the driver of the other car is going to be dealt with.

All the best
Bill

I hope the insurance companies don't find a load of Nitrous components in the wreckage, or you know what'll happen and poor old Trev won't have a leg to stand on.

nearly had the ambulance staff faint when his false leg fell off. :beatstick:

And I wouldnt mind betting that Trev sort of knew this might happen and played it out for the biggest giggle

Glad to hear they are both in good spirits and on the mend..

Seriously. That was a big impact and I`m glad it was a head on collision. The front of the cars absorbed all the energy and saved lives. Had one of them flicked the steering wheel at the last moment it would have been a side impact with far worse consequences.

That Volvo was worth its price in gold.

First of all I’d like to thank you all for your concern and good wishes and to say a particular thank you to Brett for his extremely considerate and generous gesture, which Janet appreciated immensely.

Rather than add the details of the collision to this thread I’ve posted a separate thread linked below;

When I feel a bit better I’ll respond here to comments and questions posted above, that may not be covered in my post.

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5715

Thanks again
