I have organised TVR get togethers at York but now realizing that there are a lot of cars wanting to race at the pod decided to run posts on Pistonheads and the TVR Car club forums to gauge the interest. We already have 50 cars listed including the countries highest powered cars. I am predicting at least 3 or 4 to run 10’s. See my posts below.

Original idea, discussion and list of entrants
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... s%20please.

Poll for dates that people would want to go
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... anta%20Pod

Poll for dates that people cannot attend
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... anta%20Pod

As you can see I am trying to finalize a date to get the most cars together and it looks like the favourite date at the moment is July 9th which is the RWYB saturday before the BMW show on the Sunday.
Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on this?

I will definitely be there, but that is a VERY busy event, so NOT ideal for what you are proposing

In all honesty Dave, I can't remember, but this year its in July, so hopefully the weather will be in our favour :D
Either way I'm always there for the whole weekend, perhaps the 840 may even run this year :omgrofl:

Any RWYB the day before an event has been very busy the past two years , least que for track time- Mopars- Ford -Bmw - RWYB , or T/Tune days.

Yes Trigger ;) i was the guy without my TVR. I came over to see Perry a few times and met you. There were a few TVRs that day including a 575bhp LS engined Sagaris.
Watch out for 50 of us in July flying our union jacks and taunting the Bimmers :omgrofl:

Del!!
If its not too soon then get a team ready for this one. Guranteed time slots on track.
http://www.rwyb.co.uk/clubs.php

Or set you mob up to join us lot on here for this weekend in May. You can just book in as Team TVR etc..
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5632

Failing that I would suggest the Retro Shnow weekend as the Saturday is often fairly quiet. And non retro cars can sign on for the show.

Try a late night Saturday event. Apparently things dont warm up until tea time! Last time I went I did 10 back to back runs, ran out of nitrous and had left by 11am!!!

The Saturday night specials this year are 30th april / 1st may and 1st and 2nd october?

Why are they moving them from the warm times of the year??

But they can be really good events if the queue doesnt get too long on the saturday night..
