Hi there :)

I'm Steve, a 26 year old chap from East London.
I couldn't find a newbie's greeting section, and don't really have any burning questions at the moment; but just thought i'd be friendly and say hello seeing as i recently joined up and will probably be reading up on nos for the next few months while i contemplate exactly what i want to do with the magic stuff.

I currently drive a 2004 Toyota Celica, the smaller 140bhp version, and am slightly taken by the nitrous option over NA or FI due to costs involved.
I'm looking at a direct port system, probably starting on a single bottle with a 25bhp jet, working up to a 50bhp shot, maybe even 75bhp depending on what other work will be required to safely run it.

Am in no rush to get it done, so will just be browsing and reading, possibly chipping in with the odd question too.

Anyway just wanted to say hello and compliment you on a very useful and informative forum :)

Hi Steve,

Welcome to my forum and I hope you find your visits informative.

If you'd like to absorb all the fundamentals of nitrous in the easiest format available, you might like to consider purchasing a copy of my book;

I look forward to being of whatever assistance you may need in the future.

Thanks for the warm welcome one, all and Trev :mrgreen:

I might have to pick up a copy of the book actually.
I wonder if it's reasonable to request it for a valentines day pressie from the Missus....?

I'll mostly be reading around the subject, but i guess a big question for me (due to my location) is about London/surrounding area WON approved fitters.

I had a look through the Agent section for agents near me (East London/Essex), and most seem to only be filed as 'Refill Station'.
There is one literally down the road from me (DYNO SPEED DEVS, Address: Unit 11, Taylors, Gravel Lane , Chigwell, Essex, IG7 6DQ) which isn't detailed as a 'Refill Station', however their website leads me to believe they only cater for bikes.

I love the idea of having a WON system installed in my car by the Master 'oop norf', but the idea of driving all the way up there to drop the car off and leave it there for a week is a little inconvenient.

So details of any South Eastern fitters with the WON seal of approval would be greatly appreciated.

:yes: :bow:

A Valentines day present sounds a promising bet to me. 8)

We certainly have good agents in the north of London and others not too much further north that could assist you.

I'd expect the following company to be closest to you;

http://www.autoxtremepower.com/

I'll get the book on my 'wish list', and will contact Autoxtremepower once i've done enough reading to fool them into thinking i know what i'm talking about :D

hey Chris!

well, i don't have too many speed stories. I stick to the speed limits and always seriously weigh up the consequences of straying over the limit when presented with an overtake opportunity... :rofl: :twisted:

In all seriousness, i've never really done much in the way of racing or track time in the car. I'd love to though.
This Celica is my first 'proper' car and it's a bit sporty so i'm hoping to take advantage of that.

I've done one track day on my Honda CBR600RR though, which was a blast; but it was pissing down all day :(

Gonna try again this year and hope for sun, so that instead of these pics:

i get some a bit more like this:

fingers crossed anyway.. 8)
