Just reached my hotel room after a cracking 2 days at the Pod. I really enjoyed myself and it was terrific to meet new friends, drag race, talk bollox, drink bear and eat the equivalent of my own body weight in sausages.

Thanks to all you guys and girls, it's good to put names to faces. Austin your truck is the dog's danglies, Big Dave, lovely to chat sorry about you problems but fuel injection is the way to go. Richard, keep going a bit more, the Beemer is so clean and it's a lovely install, thanks for the help and advice. Steve and Steve, Skoda's are the future, the thought of being humiliated by a Skoda is brilliant. Thanks Rod for the sleeping bag after my keys crisis, hope to see you in July at Thorney Island. It was great to see the 928 Brett and I look forward to seeing it run.
My biggest thanks goes to Perry, great to meet such a generous character your efforts made the weekend for me.

What a good event, I look forward to 'Too Fat to be Furious: Scunthorpe Skid'!

Had a cracking time on Saturday. My first time at a drag strip and meeting everyone so it was nice to see how it was done and put faces to names. The whole day was very relaxing from the start due to the friendliness of everyone. I didn't go down the strip - my arse was twitching truth be known but I learned lot of usefull information and enjoyed seeing everyone doing there stuff on the track greatly!!!. Just a shame I couldn't stay for the 2 days.

Hope you got into your car ok Mike :beatstick:

I agree about the bimmer - beautiful car.

and the same can be said about Perry's charger setup - more awesome seeing it for real.

Thanks again

It is a Casio Exilim ZR-100, had it a week and I love it! Really useful for high speed stuff, does HD recording, and can take 30 10 mega pixel images per second to get that perfect shot! It was £300, but there is a £50 cashback offer at the moment. The cheaper Exilim models also have the high speed functionality.

What was your previous PB Austin?

How much power are you adding now and how much did you max out at before you went DP?

Good to see new faces Mike, Brett and Paul. Great to spend some beer and bbq time with Ron and the crew.
The cheapy gazebo just about held out in the wind eh :)

And I love it when the days racing is over and we can all chill around the log fire and have a good grin and piss take

Hi All :)

I had a REALLY enjoyable and relaxing day so thanks to all of you... :)

Nice to meet all and put names to faces...

Perry, you are not THAT fat...lol

Richard change that oil grade lol...

ViV...keep your foot in next time :)

I gave the Fastest Car of the day (Top Speed) trophy to Ron for his last but one run for 153 mph....

A VERY impressive car with a huge amount of time , work, and good engineering put into it....

He deserved it and hopefully it will make up somewhat for taking out those two pistons on his last run :(

....................................................................................................................

That camera with the Slowmo stuff is the best I have ever seen...particularly on the Top Fuel dragster...well done :)

All the best Brett :)

Hi Everyone, absolutely great weekend. The company definitely made it. You are ALL a fantastic bunch. You put so much effort into the day to make just that bit more comfortable. Special thanks to Steve for the mobile cafe and Perry for his usual exception gazebo and bonfire skills.

I'll load my photo's and vids tomorrow.

Perry, what question????? do you mean the lack of nitrous flow or the exhaust smoke?

Old P/B was 11.62 ,adding 260HP now ,max'd out the old single injector plate at 140HP ( single pulsoids) still got away to go but I have to work the power with the traction ,Dave's slow-mo vid's show the wheel speed picking up as the Max feeds the power in think I had it about right on Saturday,

Thanks Austin, you prompted me to find my slip
Oil consumption and lack of nitrous flow needs some serious investigation :tard:

Dave:- Great photo's

Perry:- Vivienne and I just had a light bulb moment. The lines have to be restricted from the bottle, as removing those dirty filers and running without made no difference. Lets be honest the lines are the only part of the install that have NOT been checked/changed since minispeeds F*%K-up. Investigation will start soon. I need a Jason ;)

Thanks Ron, it was great to catch-up (we sank a few beers eh). Really sorry about the 'Tina.
As for my lines, I'm pretty sure they run inside the car, so I'm thinking they may have been pinched somewhere

I knocked 0.7 seconds off my PB, shame I counted myself out of the competition!!

60 ft 2.3733
330 ft 5.8778
1/8 ET 8.6293
1/8 mph 90.34
1000 ft 10.9466
1000 ft mph 106.02
1/4 ET 12.9111
1/4 mph 113.79

happy, but there is so much more to come when it runs right!

Ron may have been fastest but I think Little Steve gets the MOST IMPROVED!!

21.5 was taken down to 18.6 so LOTS MORE to come I think :omgrofl:

Thanks for the help with the Carb guys - much needed as I spend my time on LPG or diesel.

Hopefully by the next outing we will have a new non leaking turbo on the blue car and have the boost sorted (MOT and Tax as well) on the red.

Ah well - Shows that the Genyoowine Scrap Yard Parts do work!

My car finally went to a TVR specialist to Geo, MoT and sort a host of 'issues' and hopefully it will be tuned and road legal within 2 weeks.

I aim to be shaking off the cobwebs at York onthe 29/30th if anyone oop North wants to join me.
