I'll be back on track for another crack at my sub 10.6 record on 2nd October at the Pod :)
My heads are away being skimmed and I'm starting my first run with a 225hp shot on the go. If that dont get me a mid 10 I'm winding it straight up to a 300 shot :)

Anyone coming over for a test run ??

Perry

Hi Austin, I have quite a collection now including 2 x 200 jets.
Would like them posted to you?
If so PM me with your address.

Rich.

I should have 4 Austin. But they must have been misplaced because I can only find 2?? Which is a bummer cos I want to runa 200 shot off the trailer on the 2nd !! I better get busy and tidy my jets box.

Same applies to you Pel, the 2 x 200's I bought from WON, but the 2 x 250's are yours.
I doubt if I'll be needing them for much longer as I'm about to throw the towel in.

I've had enough.
Something gave out on the 840 last night and I don't even want to look under the bonnet.
There is a trail of oil and water from the "hogs back" all the way to our drive :(

Richard im not being insensitive here but you mentioned about M5s a while back being at the show,is it possible that those older models could be a better project, the cost and effort must be just getting you down :(

Hi Ted and all my friends,

There's a lot more to this than I can publish (but I'm getting dam close to blowing a gasket myself).
So as to make matters clearer, the entire WON Team could NOT have done more for me. The after sales service has been outstanding. The installation agent was the cause of my problems from day one, and they have been removed as an agent of WON. I am still pursuing them through the County Court.

Yes, you are quite right in that the costs and utter frustration has really shattered my moral, hence I bought the 850 as a run about. I'll next see daylight on Sunday, so I'll pop the hood then. I know its something serious and its linked to the system over pressurising. Unfortunately its an engine out job, even for head inspection, as heads can no longer be removed in situ (ARP Studs saw to that). The future of the NOS 840 is doubtful and I'm considering a standard lump then selling it or the 850. I will keep one as standard and thats it.

I feel I'm finally gonna stop flogging a dead horse.

What a bummer Rich!!
Keep the 850 and get another bimmer that you can strip out and cage up. Get a trailer and build a real mean 10 second track slag :)

I'll think about that, but it wouldn't be a Bimmer. If I do anything it'll be a "Big Block" as I still have a few contacts

I'm going to try and get a new piston in for then - And look at a few things that could be causing trouble.

Distribution - get the crossfire back before the throttle body
Back pressure - look at opening up the zorst as this might be so restrictive it is causing the backfire
Mixture - still way tooo rich but never quite sure with LPG as rich causes det and lean causes .......

Sorry to hear your down again rich :(

Rich will bounce back Steve!!

He just needs to step back for a while and get his head together, like I have been doing for the last year with all my alterations and breakages. Just as you have eh??

I reckon he will end up with a Chevelle + Big Block engine. Not a raod going car though. A nicely cleaned up car with tinted windows and the shit stripped out of it. A lightweight bruiser with a 500-600hp motor which will then get nitrous on top.

It will be painted Black and will have nice light weight wheels and slicks or sportsman pro tyres on the rear. It will have a crate motor + a 1000hp 3 speed auto and ratchet shifter. It will have nothing inside except a good seat and harness + a few gauges and a Monster Tach with a shift light. Then the bugger will run next to me and pull a 9.99 :D

Although I do know where there is a full rolling chassis Camaro that just needs the engine and drivetrain fitted. Its just run 10.6's back to back as well on a stock 600hp engine???

:omgrofl: yes you know how much I love the Chevelle, still gutted for NOT buying one a couple of years ago when I was in Florida. It was $12,000 (£6k) at the time. My mate said I could have left it with him (for my visits) or shipped it back to UK.
I still have a photo of it :(

Funnily enough!
I took a tea break today and watched overhauling on sky. It was a Chevelle :)

Not sure whether the Mighty Midget will make it on 2nd :(
No to be more accurate, not sure if I'LL make it!
Spent half of this last week laid up after a 4.30am Blues 'n' Twos ambulance dash to hospital with respiratory difficulties last Monday but I'm slowly on the mend. I shall have to see whether there's any cash left after a week without wages.

Rich, Sorry to hear about your disaster - no wonder you're ***sed off.
I guess if you want something a little less stressed, maybe a Rover V8 powered something could be the way forward ...
