Hello to all of you, most know of my mothers health issues and I am not one to ask for anything for myself but I am asking if you could take the time to say a prayer for her as she under goes a surgery in the morning to clear a bloackage in her throat thats seem to happen over the past few days. She came home last week from the hospital only to have to gone back in this past Friday with heart problems again and then this problem of her not able to swallow.

This forum is as close to family as I have so I thank you for allowing me to ask this here and i appreciate any and all gestures for her....

Once again thank you very much!!!

Hi Guys and gals,i just wanted to keep people up to date on my Mums progres, though its slow to day is the first day in months that I finally got her to laugh and be her self and for those of you that dont know my true personality it all about laughter for me as i find humor in anything and make fun of myself as I trully belive laughter is the key to the heart and the fountain of youth...Laugh everyday as much as you can and I have always been able to keep my Mum laughing and I finally got her back laughing at me being a goof...so thats a small step but a big one when looking over the events over the past months...

I 1st thank you all for allowing me to vent here as sometimes we tend to not want to burden others being men, with are problems but in a public forum and the close like family we have here I did it knowing i wouldnt recive pitty but more support like you have shown. Even those who may not have posted i know you wished her well in your own ways and I thank each and everyone of you for even the smallest of thoughts for her.Words can not express the graditude i have for all of you and I hope in someway i can repay you all for your kindness..

Once again we are far from out of the woods and more about keeping her comfortable...

Thank you asll from the bottom of my heart and please if i can in any way help you no mater what please ask...

Hi Johnny :)

All the very very best to your Mum...

I lost mine years ago and still miss her....

A friend of mines Mum had a birthday yesterday (70) and she likes Wine Gums (sweets) so I bought her the biggest box I could find with 36 packets in it lol...

It was a really silly present but the smile I got when she opened this huge box was worth it....

So please pass on to your Mum a huge box of pretend wine gums :) :) :)

All the best Brett :)

Hi Johnny,

I don't know if you're aware, but there's a particularly nasty but approved sugar-substitute (sweetener) called Aspartane. I've found diabetes sufferers are more likely to be eating a food containing this artificial "sweetener", most often not knowing of the controversy surrounding it. But the range of health problems it can cause (I don't know specifics myself) is incredible when you realise it was "approved" (ie back-handers) for food.

People have reported marked health improvements when they stopped using products with this additive. Hopefully, your mother is not suffering unnecessarily from this but it would be worth checking the labels on all her foods, just in case. IMHO. Even if she's not, it's good to know to steer clear of it in the future.

Wish I'd got to meet you Mom as we intended during my last visit as I'm sure she is a lovely person. With a bit of luck I'll be back over there before the end of the year, so we might get to try again then.

All the best

Johnny is having some problems getting on the forum at the moment but wants once again to thank everyone for their kind words.

You're mum sounds like an amazing selfless woman Johnny, reminds me a lot of my own mother, they dont make them like that anymore!

All the best to you all :D
