Way back in 2005 I had a nice streetable car.
It would see off most things from the lights with the NOS 150hp system. Hell! I even had a HiFi in the car. A nice Blaupunkt cd changer with 1500watts of power courtesy of amps behind the seats. A sub in the boot. 2x 8" mids and 6x4 horns on a deck where the rear seat used to be + alpine tweeters on the A pillars. I even had bumpers for God's sake
I found me some very rare 1970's Cosmic alloys as well. These things in MGB stud pattern are hard to find. Jeez!!! I even used to polish the car on a Sunday
I was King of the MGB world in my 14.8 second car
How nice does the sunken bottle look!!
And she looked even sweeter from the side!!
Then I got involved with the Trev and got the bug. I thought the NOS stuff was good. But the Trevoid sold me a book. Then 5 years later what do I end up with??
A car that looks like its been coated in glue and driven through Mickey Thompsons and Wizards workshop in a ram raid
My car is a very rare edition. Out of 500,000 MGB's ever made. Mine is one of only 2700 V8 models. And also 5 years later, its the most powerful and quickest Rover V8 powered MGB in the world I think... I have trawled the internet trying to find another Rover powered MGB thats quicker than mine. And so far I've drawn a blank. Maybe some of you internet experts can search for me. Any MGB V8's out there still running a trusty Rover V8 going quicker than 10.6 on the 1/4 mile yet??
And heres what I'm left with after 5 years! The quickest MGB Rover V8 in Europe, and possibly the world.... Do I get a free gold Won bumper sticker now
A pic from my last "running a tad fat" dyno day
My wife says Trev has a lot to answer for
If I had not found WON she might have that conservatory she wanted... Yeah right!!
