I was down with the CRX owners & spotted your car.

The time I remember from the the run I saw was a 15.0x how did your day go?

I would have said hi but didn't spot you I was busy chatting & watching the CRX's while being cooked alive by the sun  << I look like that today

Loads of breakages yesterday. Wheel hop/axle tramp etc is a killer!!

Bill

Hi Pel & Bill :)

Yes I have the LSD now plus a full race exhaust system (over 130 db at 7000 revs - lol)

I didn't manage a Nitrous run at all as I had major problems with my electrics (power to the Maxx and Tps problems :(

So I ran a standard quarter with no nitrous which I was pleased with...my 928 has a book time of 15.5 and I ran a 14.7 :)

As the traction was bad the LSD helped hugely as at least BOTH wheels were spinning lol :)

I also had my brother with me and as he had been a bit down since his wife died , I treated him to a day there...

He also has a Porsche 928 and started with a 17.9 and with a little tuition from me managed to get down to a 15.2 which he has hugely pleased with....like most first timers , he was instantly hooked and was going round to run again so fast I thought I would go dizzy lol :)

Stiil it took his mind off things.... :)

On a side note there were a LOT of people taking passenger rides from friends up the strip (costs a tenner or free if you have paid to run normally)

Th Uk record for a 928 on the 1/4 is 13.9 at 117 from a 5.4 Supercharged 928 GTS.....

Once I have my Revos fitted...I WILL be back lolll....

All the best Brett :)

It would have been nice to meet up with You, Ed, Neil, Alison and Martin.
I'm a bit miffed now that my quick jaunt to collect the engine turned into a 9 hour marathon.
But at least I have a spare engine to play with now for the new project.

Brett!
If I was there you could have dipped into the truck of plenty to use all my stuff to solve your problems :)

Can you make it to the Retro Show in July??
I should be unveiling the latest Wizards car. A 1275cc Midget with WON. Original A series engine as well. I'm hoping with a 15-20 shot she will pip a mid 15 ??
I've just finished instaling the crossfires in the manifold

Hi Bill :)

That Capri was running a homemade Nitrous kit which is why his "blue plastic" pipe was not the correct colour lol.

I talked to him about it and he wouldn't listen much and he ran twice and then lost a cylinder lol

Last time I saw him he was about to pull the head after getting a 30 reading on one cylinder...

Ah well he will learn.

All the best Brett :)
