I should have some new rear springs fitted for this one to see if I can get away straight.
I'm going to use the rich settings on the 200 shot just to test suspension as I wont have had time for a dyno day by then.
This is one of the 2-3 Drag days per year at the Weald and its a good hoot
But you need to get there early as they sign on 200 and close the book.
You need to get the car in the srutineering queue as early as poss. You cant sign on until you pass scrutineering. I guess I'll have to fit my rubber pipe to the sprv again
I know Moo is coming. And hopefully my Son with his stock MK1 MR2 to run against Moo for reference purposes. I've got several of my V8 Forum buddies along as well. I assume the TEZZ will be coming over for one of my special coffee's???
This is not a pro strip. Its just a big old airfield with a great atmosphere. But they are getting more with the times as they changed race control from a garden shed with a window, to a proper porta cabin last year
I'm hoping Austin will be along with the F150 tank to put some rice burners to shame as well
The only thing I will say about the Weald is that the timing slips can be misleading. By misleading I mean sometimes way way off.
Most uf us only use the weald for shakedowns anyway.
If you want to bung a BBQ in the boot they dont mind you firing up and doing the burgers in the pits. There is a huge mown grass area all around the pits which often gives off a nice smell of fresh cut grass mixed with burning Catrol R. Who could want more??
I'll be outside the gate at around 7.15am waiting to get in.
Moo!
Why dont you come to my place the night before for some beer and bullshit in the garage so we can get a flyer?
Or even leave your gaff early with Claire and Sam to get there no later than 8am. We could make it a BBQ picnic day.
