A mate of mine has organised a RR day at my mates place in Bletchley...

There will be about 4 MG's from the Northants MG Owners club taking part. He was hoping to get 10 runners. But I guess a lot of these MG guys think they will blow the engines up on the dyno. FFS its just a few seconds at WOT???

I've managed to get a mate with his MGB V8 and another MG mate who wants to run his Toyota Yaris on the rollers. I'll bung my MG on if its still in one piece as well.

So thats 6 confirmed runners. We need a minimum of 10 cars to get the "good deal" that my mate Martin will do for me. Normally he charges £40 + vat. But I can get £35 per car with no vat for cash notes on the day. This includes all the tea and coffee we can consume + a couple of tickets for free burgers from the BBQ...

So I need 4 more cars on the 27th March.

I have had a special request from the Northants MGOC to see if a certain Skoda could be on site for dyno runs?? God knows why :)

I'm going to punt this idea over on the V8 owners forum as well to see if a few mates will come and join in??

So lets get this mutha going and put some Wizards cars on the rollers eh

PS
Wouldnt it be the mutts nuts if Ron or Ian could roll up to showboat for the day huh??
Just a wild dream chaps. Its a long way for those boys to come for a free burger eh?

So lets get our DIY Wizards cars up there for a run shall we??

Feedback required asap please.

Perry

Yes but a few seconds at WOT and BANG - new underpants for the driver and a broom reqd by the owner to sweep up the turbo.

(SKODA owner that is) :omgrofl:

Fraid not this time - I'm swimming in the River Blackwater that weekend :(

Will see if Capt Yellow wants to come with his (cough) MG (cough) Rover (cough)

Probably see a furby as well - he wants to break 280 and the rollers if he can - and if its possible Smoggy is the man!

We REALLY want to see how that GIN goes!

Thats good news Stevie :)

Can you prod Rob and the Captain for a yes or no asap please mate. I'll be there with the B, or the MR2 or I might even put the truck on the rollers for a grin. :)

It would be a hoot to have the truck maxing out on the dyno and then let a bit of spray into the air filter from an open bottle eh??

What the heck. Its a hire / truck car after all eh

Where the fook is Moo when you need him. If he comes over we can do a nitrous vs non nitrous MK1 MR2 shootout......

We have 13 cars booked in, so the list is now closed. There may be a couple on no shows, but I cant promise anything.

We had a great day. Steve U and Robin did well.

Folk were open mouthed to see Robs diesel cocktail mobile with added WON hit 249hp and a tad under 460 ft/lbs :D

2 mins 22 seconds into the clip you can see an aborted run. She certainly hits hard with this spider plate.
