Hi fellow NOS fiends,

Thought I'd get this started as:
1. Beamer is ready (only a year late)
2. Bought advanced tickets
3. Booked Hotel (don't do tramping)

Look forward to meeting up with as many of you as possible.

You mean 200hp Rich? Or jet number 200?
If you only need 2 jets I've got them.

I need 2 x 200 jets for the NOS as I already have the 100's for the fuel.
That'll be great Perry.
That should max me out in its current configeration, with no need for any more timing.

So you already have a pair of 200's yes??
You have 4 pulsoids dont you??

I was only coming on the Sunday. But Jason chucked a bit of a wobbly earlier on as he thought we were doing the weekend as its his birthday :) :occasion4:

He said he'd invited some mates to come over to help out and have a few tinnies on the Saturday night. Now it looks like I've got to give in to Junior and come for the whole weekend!! I have told him that Saturday will be just test and tune runs as I want to go balls out for the Sunday in front of the camera's :headbang:

So it looks like you lot will have to put up with me for 2 days now

Yes!!
I have 3 spare "number 200" jets Rich !!

I think it will soon be time to do some accurate flow testing on your fuel and nitrous delivery if you are getting up to that sort of power mate.

I was running 4x300 jets on Trevs black nylon line. But flow testing showed I was only getting 240hp of nitrous. So I went back to -4 braided and got 302hp of nitrous flow.

Cheers Pel, but as I was on the phone with Ant for other stuff, I ordered a pair.
Agreed, flow testing if I get no further results with the 200's.
Fast show should be fun for Viv

I'm hoping to be at the fast show :(

I took out 3 cylinders today. But boy did she fly to the end of 2nd gear :)
1st run crap traction and sideways again. Even activating in 3rd around 90 lit the rears up.
2nd run was a steady start with a 1.9 60 foot. I let it launch off gas and then activated around 100 feet out. She hooked and ran around the 100mph in 7 seconds to the 1/8th. Then it all went pear shaped

I've just pulled the top off the engine and I melted a brand new plug in cylinder 3. And took the head gasket out big style between 8 and the waterway, and between 6 and atmosphere. She was knocking badly as I came off and cutr the engine. I'm thinking it was hydraulic locking under deceleration.
Its also melted a chunk of the block away between the liner and the outside of the block on number 6.
I'm going to measure piston heights after work tomorrow to see if I may have a bent rod.

Opps

What jets did you have in ? looking at that im guessing you did not back down to low jets and Test on track after all changes to nitrous flow and carb ,a plug run and work up

I know you have upgrade the nitrous lines and flow and got spyder , Are you sure you low Psi fule system is keeping up ???

Did you take out a bit more timing as well to compenste for increased flow

300hp of gas Tezz! 75hp start and 3 second build.

I know you have upgrade the nitrous lines and flow and got spyder , Are you sure you low Psi fule system is keeping up ???
Yep, fuel pressure all ok @ 8psi

Did you take out a bit more timing as well to compenste for increased flow

Yep 2 more degree's to allow for the extra 60hp of gas.

To be honest, I was expecting to lose a plug or two. I got some new ones which were supposed to be better than my B8's. But they are just like a normal Rover plug with half the earth electrode cut off. A bit like Trevs tip in the book. But the earth electrode is more projected than the B8's.

I've also now found that I dont seem to have the fookin' great spark that I usualy have. Maybe the MSD has gone wrong or the coil is knacked.

So as well as the rebuild I need to sort out the ignition.

On the other side of things!
The Sparco Seat is not too bad now I've lifted the front a bit.
The new Drag tyres behave differently to the smaller ones. And they did get me a 1.9 60 foot off gas. But they do bounce when cruising in the pits. It feels like I'm on springs with no shock absorbers!!
The hard bucket seat makes you feel every little rumble and grumble through the seat of your pants :) Which was a bit scary to start with.

Oh crap mate, that's a lot of work to complete before the fast show.
I'm really sorry to hear you had such bad luck today.
Maybe I'll think twice about a 200 shot in mine!

Hmmm after all them changes i would have not slapped in 300 bhp not till i was 100%

I now ya flow tested ect but at 150bhp per pair pulsiod you got to be very close to limits they are still the 150bhp pulsiods, along with the increased flow and density of Nitrous side if ya fule side is at limit also would take fek all to flip it to lean in a run on track , what kind of extra flow do ya have over what ya need for 300 shot

Did you flow test thro spyder ??

Mind you the igniton problem will now just confuse it all
