Hi Trev
I totally agree its almost always the parents fault....
When my kids were younger they both thought I was WAY too strict, (wouldn't let them out schooldays, took and brought them back etc, always had to know PRECISELY where they were, etc etc)
I made them both EARN any money I gave them, small jobs like car washing, etc etc
My son is now in a high paying job and doing brilliantly, hes raised so much money for charity that he has been picked by his Company to climb Kilimanjaro to raise even more money...
My daughter, who is predicted to get 3 A STARS at A level has just had a Cambridge interview (which she didn't get, in my opinion because her school was not "posh" enough...)
But she had 4 other definite offers , including one from Cardiff where its a 4 years twin degree course, then a further 3 years Masters.....which she has accepted
When I discussed the 7 years with my daughter, she said, well you always told me you have to work for anything you get and I want a Brand new BMW cabriolet..... so after my Masters YOU can buy it for me lollllllllllllllllll
I will as well lol...
Old sayings have a LOT of truth in them....so spare the rod etc etc....
All the best Brett
