I must be mad to have never thought of this before.
If off to Florida 3-20 Feb (mostly fishing and some shooting), but even out there it can get "Blown off" quite literally.
Just googled and found a Drag Strip just down the road from where I'm staying - Bradenton and also Orlando.
Gonna see at least one race meet.
I've got a Dodge Charger on Rental, wonder if I'll get away with it on their RWYB

The first time I went to Florida with 'the lads' I hired a car and two of us took it in turns to race it at a RWYB at one of those tracks.

I'll leave you to figure out who ran a PERFECT reaction time and was 0.2secs quicker down the 1/4, despite my 'buddy' switching on the AC in an effort to slow me down, the sneaky bastard!!!!

If I make it down to Florida during the time you're there we'll have to try and hook up and run both hire cars down the track to see if this old dog has still got what it takes. ;)

Trev, that would be superb.
I'll email you my contact details as I have a USA mobile.
Are you in the Orlando area?

I've got to travel virtually the whole length of the east cost mainland from either New York or North Carolina (depending on who is available and when) all the way down to West Palm Beech Florida, now that's what you call a LONGGGGGG drive. :(
