I've decided I will be better off by fitting a multistage system made up of cheap solenoids, than wasting my money on expensive pulsoids and expensive controllers. Why spend a fortune on a max when I can achieve smooth delivery with a few simple stages and a timer:)

Here's the prototype system nearly ready for testing.

Looking fabulous Perry. Should give 5000 extra bhp... at least for a few seconds. Very interested in this! Possible group buy anyone?

Lol, try changing jets to up the power from 5000 bhp to 8000 bhp. Should take a week I guess.

Actually although it looks a monstrosity and looks more, it is ONLY (lol) a FIVE stage kit and as INSANE as looks, THEY DO EXIST!!!!!

Now consider the current draw and then consider the weight of not just all those (20) heavy stainless steel solenoids and PLUS the weight of the HUGE battery that would be required plus all the wire, switches and relays. When you've done that think about the potential for failure due not only to the increased quantity of minor components but the fact that even one generic solenoid is known to fail readily, so just multiply that frequency by 20.

All that and we can replace it all with JUST this;

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4879&start=0

Less than 10 Amps TOTAL
Less than Less than 2 Kg TOTAL

No multiple relays or switches, just a few inches of lightweight wire and NO big battery needed.

KNOCKOUT WIN TO WON. :boxing:

Looks like a photo shop jobby to me and not a very good one, look at the pipes running over the top of the rocker cover, 2 running under the top pipe just disappear as if by magic and the image around the pipes isn't the rocker cover :beatstick:

Obvious when you point it out now Ian, the rest of us were just transfixed by all the solenoids.

Hi :)

The reason most here were not sure if it was fake is that we have all seen American cars with Multi stage systems with a LOT of solenoids on them....lol

All the best Brett :)

Hi Mate, from your username it would indicate you drive a straight 6, is it a Beamer?

it is not, its a cummins diesel. got a few cummins drag trucks . best friend owns a diesel performance shop and i have been big into diesels since 91. we got a few trucks making over 2000hp at the wheels. got 2 of them right now at 1289hp at the wheels that we drive just about everyday. its amazing what you can do with a diesel now days.

Fair enough, my knowledge of diesels is limited to boats, but I'm well aware of the potential of modern diesels as we have a pick-up too. Hope you enjoy the forum.

I spotted it was a fake - down to me having experience of digitised pictures and doctoring pixels that allowed me to pick out tell-tale signs such as wallpaper effect and non-uniform shadows. Does that make me smarter? :P

But I'm really posting for to ask if you'd be so kind as to stick around and share your knowledge with the rest of us - especially on the subject of diesel engines. In the short three years I've got to know about them, I'm becoming more convinced that diesel engines are to be the performance engine of the future.

So, if you're inclined, please browse over our diesel section and feel free to add to it's collective wisdom. We've also got an "installed" section if you'd like to post up some pics and details of your rides.
