The only realistic ones are the Micra ST ones. They are supercharged and turbocharged and weigh 500kgs, a good power:weight so those times are quite possible. If you look through some threads some people post pictures of the timeslips. There are, of course, some dreamers but every forum has them :p

Yup So are the BHP figures for a standard micra but hey.......

THe daf 33 had a cvt and rear wheel drive - the centrifugal clutch (like the micra cvt one) cant take much and that appears to be the weak point.

Also the micra cvt is set up for peak bhp - now we all know this is very stoopid and it should be peak torque but unfortunately most vehicle manufacturers dont seem to understand so make engines scream

Yes rads are easy - when you can get one the same size So I got a towel rail as its nearer (and cheaper) The old one rusted away on the bottom seam. Fortunately I spotted it so the floor hasnt gone soft and I can rescue the carpet.

Nearly in - just found one of the compression fittings is missing an olive Would have soldered it but already had the compression fittings

Also the boiler is quitting - its as old as the house and bits are not easy to get. All the others round me have gone combi at least 5 years ago, so think I might have to save some pennies and get a new one - but I want to spend that money on the car

Went to goto work at 06:30 this morning, car frozen solid. Doors and boot seized with ice.
Had no choice, kept pulling door until it cracked open
Once I thought all was thawed, rolled off drive to find my door swung open as lock was frozen and had not closed
Must put the cover back on tonight

Damn I hate the cold.
Good news though, its offical, we're now heading back into summer

I heard it was heading back to winter toward the new year. Not good news for me as I need to drive a long way on New Years Day - probably right through the snow in the Midlands......
