So i had a decent fuel pump and regulator fitted on Friday and the car was remapped to give 306 bhp. It was 308 a few weeks ago but on a much cooler day so i reckon power is up.
We ran a simple single bottle system to check AFRs and to make sure the retarded map was kicking in.
The system was jetted for 100 bhp with a 200 and 80 jets.
On the first run we only saw 354 bhp and the AFR fell off the gauge!
So a 50 replaced the 80 and we then saw 370 bhp and the wideband was showing very low 11's.
I fitted a 250 jet into the nitrous but no difference was seen so i guess the single 5mm feed is struggling to give more than about 65 bhp
ETA. Having taken a closer look at the plots it seems the initial hit is 85 bhp at 3500-4000 rpm then tails off to 65bhp at peak.
So if i am getting a hit of 85bhp then a 170 jet would have the same effect with a ratio of 3.4:1.
I will probably upgrade my feed line to 4an and retest the mixtures.
Anyway i was happy yo leave it like this and was on my way to Shakey.
The next morning i ran 2 NA runs with a 12.8 and 12.7 @ 110 with poor mid 1.9's to 60 foot.
By the end of the day on full bottle pressure i ran 11.65 @ 123 and still off par 1.90 to 60 foot. This almost matches my PB and with only a modest shot of gas.
That 10 looks much more possible when the conditions are right and either back to the twin bottle feed or maybe time to fit a braided line.
