Thanks Moo the warmth would be most welcome at the moment!

I'm running out of holidays & my mates that are helping are working this week so it's weekends only at the moment which is slowing things down :(

A neighbour from a few houses away stopped me on the way to work this morning to tell me that back when he was a young un the old garage (built in the 40's!!) that's next to my new one had pit  So once I can empty the old garage it looks like I'll be doing some poking about to see if I can find it

Good news mate!!

You can rock up with French Eddie and Mad Mark Eley on one of our Pod days in 2010 then??

Get yourself a bottle of propane and a machine mart fireball gas blower. Well worth the money IMO :)

I've also nabbed 2 office type desktop fans and mounted them sideways on my garage rafters so they blow downwards. And fitted a pull cord switch to turn them on. When its really freezing outside, you can fire up the heater and put the fans on to blow the hot air back down. Last winter it was -10 outside one night. I fired up the heater and put the fans on. went inside, made a cuppa, made a sarnie and by the time I had come out it was lovely and warm in the garage.

I hate being cold in my garage :)

Yup I'll be down to POD with Eddie & Mark after a few road miles + maybe a shake down trip to York, is the return road still like the surface of the moon? :beatstick:

I was looking at a Calor gas burner for heating (as I too hate cold garages) the fans are a great idea cheers!!

Just a quick update :)

Well the weather caused a few problems for us with the mortar not going off right on the top two courses of bricks which take the garage to the height limit so that, the weather, work commitments & boozing have got in the way a little but we have a roof & some temporary lighting + power so we can get one of my CRX's back up & running for the CRX-UK pod meet 17th of April

Please excuse the phone pictures

This is just a temporary set up to get my CRX running :D

Once it's running right I have a mate who's going to skim the floor to get it 100% flat then I can seal & paint it with the fancy two part epoxy paint, then insulation/wiring, then paint the walls/ceiling. Then I can put the beer/drinks fridge in as well as the sofa I have for the garage

I can't wait

As I'm going to test my wiring etc out on a £70 unknown engine I'm going to risk my NX kit on it for some fun at pod while I get the forged engine built up ;)
