What a FANTASTIC day!!!!

EVERY customer ran a SUBSTANTIALLY quicker new PB (despite severe rain and hale storms) and many more than expected attended the event.
I'd guess we had approx 30 customers with our systems and I don't think there were even 5 using ANY of the US makes all put together.

I'll let the forum members post their own results but here's a couple from customers who do not come on.

Pulsar w/o WON 13.1 secs - with just 40 hp WON 12.4 secs with better to come
Honda Civic (quickest in UK I believe) w/o WON 11.8 secs - with just 25 hp WON 11.6 secs with much better to come due to traction issues
Ford Escort (V8) w/o WON 12.8 secs - with just 75 hp WON 11.4 secs with more to come

JUST AS YOU'D EXPECT, NOT A SINGLE SYSTEM FAILURE OR A SINGLE ENGINE FAILURE.

Hey all i had a good day, even though it wasnt running properly BUT i did manage to work out wot it was!

 I never turned the bottle on!!!!!!!!! so was just running on Fuel what a :loser:

just went out to try the 70bhp at a 2-1 ratio and on my GOSH it pulls like a mo fo with on a tiny splutter at say 6.800K which is just my limiter. the noise it makes is crazy will need to check if engine noise is ok but i want more

i had a problem at about 5k in 3rd with clutch slip but just increased time and sorted it, on a certain private road that i use i could only manage about 110 pushing it, now i can do 125 130 3/4's of the way down it the NOS is AWESOME!!!!!

Gutted that i didnt get chance to test on the track but its gti international next sunday so might go to that and try that out as it pulls PERFECT without any problems! can not belive how much extra power there is!

got to get more power maybe increase the time of the cycle or buy a paddle clutch! ouch

But thanks to all who helped me im a noob for not checking the bottle!!!! :cyclopsani:

Gareth that's a great shame, I wish I'd had more time to check out what you were doing.

I'd still suggest you do the rotor arm mod.

Previous best backed up PB was 12.08 seconds. I'm now running exactly the same shot of gas on the same engine but with a few tweeks on the settings at 11.56 :D

no probs dude, theres nothing wrong with a bit of platonic man love
i had a few ok runs, one awesome run :D, and two where the car coughed and pluttered down the 1/4
after steve weighed the bottle we sussed the problem, bottle was empty
so gaz, you wasnt the only one ;)

even with wheel spinning and having to back off in 2nd i ran 1.5secs faster than off gas on 50shot 8)
just wished id had figured out the bottle was empty before wasting 2runs, shit happens, fight another day

ooh forgot about tezz, congrats dude on such a great runs
you deserve a trophy, what you think perry ?????? :beatstick: :omgrofl: :omgrofl: :omgrofl: :omgrofl: :omgrofl:

It never rains in YORK Tezz lol , Yes Dad :-) , and as for the 2 trophy winners above even tho it pissed me off i think they both deserved them Moo for just being Moo RESPECT Bro all jokes aside outstanding result and Perry not only for a feking amzing Run Good on Ya M8 Big Respect , but for being best equiped and freindlist racer iv ever met   and i bet ya still celabrating

Well good ride up on bike filled bottles but max and best pressuer i got was 900 some times as low as 750 and bike just was not set up for that as trev told me it was going to be tropical sunshine LOL bit was tuned for 950psi min upto 1050/1100, got a few crap runs in way to rich and heavens opened , so trade insults with the old car boys lol, and then took time to bend Trevs ear tweek fuel psi , test bike and set it for 850psi done sorted few tips of Trev on testing and i was ready to go well did by 4pm or there abouts as i was only bike in RWYB had to run solo and its not the same did not like it at all , NSA were there but i was not allowed to run with there bike for what ever reason i think my paint job scared them lol, but i was not going home till i atleast gave it a good shot   and last run of day sat next to busa bloke finaly said i could run with him   oki i knew i was not going to beat him but i do so love to try and on that run a new PB of 10.5 @128mph   lol dont know who was more excited me or Trev LOL , but all credit to WON it not an easy bike to get to go that fast and must say bike has more to come but it still down to rider lol it just felt so right engin wise and same size jets 75bhp every thing was same just being able to now ajust my A/F mean i can fine tune it a bit more and theres more to come from me old bus yet i recon if i had more time as it takes me at least 3 runs to calm down i had a feeling would have seen a better time , but unlike the car Tarts lol with there roofs and windows rain was looming and we had a long ride back

But 280 miles there run a 10.5 and 280 miles home with out missing a beat 8) 8) 8) NO spares no trailer no van so to all those that have told me it wont make power, or time or it will go bang BOLLOX to the lot of ya I win

AND even tho that busa Nail me ofline , lol in 2nd half of track i was gaining on it now that just feking amazing

OKI and Scot PMSL are you out of hiding yet M8 a well deseved Win even if you have a price on ya head LOL

Big thanks to all at york and WON , not best track but on plus side they cared and took time to keep us all updated which i think was great , but what is it with them feking yank cars do they not know oil needs to be on inside of engin !!

and we wont mention the HAIL STONES Trev LOL

Respect

Tezz

Twas a fantastic laugh! Great to meet you all again!!! Even if my days are numbered....

Managed n/a base run of 13.7 followed by new p/b of 12.68 not bad for a 1.8 K-series Metro engine against a BMW M5 and another win to the WON team for best in class...

Sorry BMW lady... a wins a win... just cause your a girl i wasn't gona let you beat me.... and i did come off the nitrous in high 3rd just to (I'd better not go there or i may regret it ;) ) ... maybe next time you'll be back with the WON fitted... One firey woman!!! Great fun... I think the adjudicators and track crew also felt her wrath!!! Just great..... enjoyed every second even if she has probably has got a contact out on my life!

Nitrous & engine didn't miss a beat, plenty more there, my take offs were totally crap on the York track!!! Felt totally different to SantaPod but not bad different, just different different. Where as i need to launch at 4K rpm at santapod to stop engine bogging not handiling sticky surface york seems a lot less sticky! Suppose it could be down to the rain and hail !!!!! Amazing at end of stip it was totally different weather 'n' cyclones in clouds towards Lincoln!!!

Fantatic day thanks Trev for your support 'n' hope you enjoyed your brief drive round pit lanes in Elise!!! Bit of a squeeze i know but once your in driving seat fits like a glove!!! Shame so much gravel 'n' bumpy or you could have given it some!!!

Dumb ass me on way back realised I’d be running with 32psi in back tires!! I wish i'd got enough petrol for a couple more runs without initial revs. I think that's the key to the launch at York. I'll defiantly be back... when it's dry...

Great atmosphere, great people, real petrol heads a lot more friendly than some of the more southern tracks ;)

we luv ya tezz :D
even without the 10.5s which you deserved a trophy for i reckon you should have had got one for ragging the tits off your scooter in the rain  WERE NOT WORTHY, WERE NOT WORTHY, WE SUCK!

scott dude, your run just before the rain stopped play was entertainment of the highest degree
wheel spin with the ass kicking out in all gears is what its all about 8)
that elise of yours is a real baby magnet, reminded me of klingon women, scary and sexy at the same time :omgrofl:

i think i can say big thank you from everyone to trev :) :) :) :) :)
without my stupidity of not knowing when a bottle is empty  id have done loads better :(
as it was 15.5sec is the time for a stock Celica GT4 to do a 1/4, so it was a result
i promise to do better next time ;)

You guys crack me up!!! :omgrofl: :omgrofl:

I think Tezz deserved a trophy for many reasons; driving such a long way, supporting the WON effort, being the only bike customer to participate in the event (although the Busa was also using my system), running the quickest ET, etc. ect but they only had one trophy for the WON class and I decided Moo deserved it for his persisitance in attending the event, regardless of the obstacles in his way and for biggest improvement from WON.

Its always a difficult decision to pick between different clsses of vehicles, because its easier for a slow car to achieve a bigger improvement in an ET, plus its harder for a bike to achieve the same percentage improvement as a car. So with all that in mind, Tezz probably achieved most if there'd been a way of directly comparing unlike with unlike.

The truth is you all deserved a trophy just for being such decent blokes and for making the effort to support me and the event but at least those that didn't get one DID GET something much better and more memorable, a new PB.

Tezz you should have told me you weren't happy running on your own and I'd have sorted that for you. In my book I'm happier running alone when trying to set new PB's because you can concentrate on JUST getting everything right and you're not distracted by the other guy.

If it hadn't been for the EXTREMELY UNUSAL weather wasting a good couple of hours of the day and if you'd all been running PB's most of the day, I'd have arranged for you to run against Perry for example but as it was there didn't seem much point till the end and then it was too late.

Most people seemed to have learned something new yesterday, like;
1) You need to start with a full bottle
2) The bottle needs to be turned on
3) You need a good electrical connection to the solenoids
4) The right amount of fuel is required to match the nitrous to achieve good results
etc. etc.

Scott my Elise experience was a mixture of torture and pleasure. Torture getting in and out but a pleasure once in there. I gave it "a small blip" up the return road and I was sorely tempted to request a run on the track but as you posted a good time (although I'm sure there is still better to come) and time was short, I decided to pass on it.

We any luck the Klingon woman will be a customer next time out and then she'll be more "satisfied" with her lot.

All I can say is a BIG THANKS to all of you who attended the WON event and I wish we could have one every weekend, then you'd all be running record times by the end of the year.
