NITROUS OXIDE ( nos / n2o ) advice forum

any body know how i can get rid of this permanently or temporarily.the reason is the next day at elvington is also a top speed day as well as a 1/4 mile.and i have a funny feeling 155mph just aint gonna be enough.on my private test track(m1) it will hit this limiter in fourth gear still pulling like a train,and that is off gas and before it even gets into fifth.
i have tried superchips and they suggested a place called autologix(autologics?) in buckinghamshire,but i cant find anything about them.i have tried bmw forums and no one is any the wiser.the trouble is i think iy works off the speedo and not true speed as when it hits 155 on the clock its actually doing 143

There are a few shops here in the states that can reprogram the ECU. I have to assume you can get something done by you also then?

I take it disconnecting the gearbox speed sensor doesn't do it ?

its an auto loopy with two fucking great multiplugs on the back of the box.think the whole box is computer controlled.the speedo take off is on the back axle,but i think it controls other stuff as well.i was going to try pulling the fuse for the speedo and the take off at the next event and see if that does anything.
