NITROUS OXIDE ( nos / n2o ) advice forum

Hi guys
I’m looking at trying to do nickel plating at home, just for bolts and small bits and pieces.
Does anyone here know where I can find out what I need to do it?
What are the chemicals and electrodes etc?

Or am I bitting off more than I can chew?

There are DIY kits available (I have one somewhere but never got round to using it), so I'd do a search on the net for them.

The plating isn't difficult but the finish comes from the prep work involved.

I have seen those type of kits about.
I was just interested if anybody knew what the chemicals and stuff were, so maybe I could get them seperate or in bulk to save some cash (to help pay for nitrous refills )

If you go to the link that Loopy has provided, then look at the health and safety sheet it mentions the chemicals. Ive seen similar kits in the U.S. that do gold plating.
