Although not a very regular poster on here that date I am free, would be settled into new house and job so would work nicely for me so would love to come along if that's ok? If all goes well money-wise I might even be able to get my direct port system done in time :bounce:

ALRIGHTY !!!

We better get a list going then eh?

1. Me. Perry MGBV8
2. Ian Oddie and the Kitten.
3. Big Steve and Rapid Blue Skoda.
4. Little Steve and Rapid Red Skoda.
5. Richard and the Black Panther / Bimmer 840.
6. Big Dave and the MX5 or the Cappa. Still part of our crew with or without WON
7. Gotenks 1321, the mystery man. All we know is that he is 23 years old and drives an MG with WON. Until we get a first name from Gotenks, he shall be affectionately known as "Number 7" :D

Snakes alive!! Looks like we got us another Won weekend away guys..

This will be the first WON weekend for 2011 and the weather should be mild ??

I'll stick up the big tent and Rapid Blue will have his trailer / Racers Lounge complete with full kitchen. Who is going to stop over on the Saturday and make it a full weekend ??

AUSTIN !! WHERE ARE YOU ????

The Saturday's racing will be good fun. The Saturday night will be a real Hoot I reckon.
BBQ and beers + the usual big log fire in the fire pit and good music all night.

The Sunday will be up at 8-9am for sign on and then brekky from the BBQ. Then prep the cars and get in the queue to mix our cars up with the PTM guys for the day :)

Notes:
Make sure you bring a folding chair to sit by the fire.
Make sure you bring a sleeping bag or quilt.
Make sure you bring your fave CD to put on.
Make sure you have plenty of nitrous ! I blew 5 lbs last year just stoking the big log fire

ANY MORE TAKERS FOR A WEEKEND AWAY AT THE POD ??

THANKS
PERRY

You had me worried then, 23...23...how on Earth does he know i'm 23??? Oh yeah, it's in my profile

Hi everyone,

My name is Dan and I am a NOS-a-holic. Started life on the 25s but that just wasn't enough for me. Before I knew it the cravings took over and I had to have more. The rest, as they say, is history (in the making) :D

I think i'd quite like to do the whole weekend, will have to see what the GF's up to and if she wants to come along too

What's the usual layout etc of these weekends? Having never been I have pretty much no idea of what to expect

I didnt read your profile Dan!!
Like all WON folk, I'm able to read the future and folks minds... 8)

Welcome aboard DAN!!!

From now on you shall be known as..... DAN

For future reference. We dont see what the Gf's up to... We just telll them what we is doing :D
If she comes along then she joins in the fun and the Saturday night BBQ + piss up.. :D

The normal run of things is turn up on the Saturday morning around 8am and find me in the pits. This will be our base camp. Then we got to sing on for racing around 9-9.30 am.

I often get signed on before this cos I know the right folk on site ;)

Then we piss around with our cars until we is ready to race. If you need any help with tuning etc just shout out mate. We normally get in the queue about 10.30am. And then we race our socks off all day long until around 9pm. On a good day I'll be racing for several hours. On a Bad day I'll be repairing stuff for several hours :)

Just be ready to muck in with repairs to all sorts of WON cars

That sounds like my kind of weekend

The GF is as up for this as I am and is just as excitable with the nitrous as I am  That also means I don't get the usual questions and nags of "Why are you wasting your money on that?" or "You don't need that"

Is there usually a nitrous supplier there? Having only a 5lb bottle means it doesn't usually last long

Hi Dan and I like your style.
I too involved my GF from the start, she races too, so there is NO questions when something breaks and the wallet has to come out
As for NOS re-fils DO NOT rely on someone being there, its very intermittent at the Pod.
You have more chance of one of us breaking something, then using OUR spare NOS as we can no longer run :omgrofl:
Look forward to meeting up in 2011, lets hope for some decent weather

Hi Richard,

Reading your engine rebuild thread that's a pretty good thing to have her on board  Very jealous of the bits you've had done to that now  I hope mine holds out long enough (pistons are at their limits on a 50 shot) for me to get settled and get the money together to have some work done on mine, that's for another thread though ;)

Just reading up on the Beginners Guides and it mentions helmets for open top cars, mine is a soft-top so does that apply to me or only if I have the roof down? Same question for arm straps although I have no idea what they are
