Dave

Just to let you know and I am sure you are aware of this but even if the fuel flows out of the pump at the front my concern is that it will stall in the line under a hard launch.I trully beleive you need to move the pumps to the rear of the car or at least the one for the nitrous. The carbs have a bowl but the nitrous is what concerns me. If it stalls goodbye pistons....

Good luck on your headers look good so far...

Well I managed to drive it out of the garage

http://www.babybda.co.uk/images/capri/it%20moves.wmv

http://www.babybda.co.uk/images/capri/smokin.wmv

unfortunately the battery is flat so no more playing for me :(

It needs the timing doing, there is a leak somewhere in the front brake circuit that needs fixing, I need to sort the gear linkage out, and I need some tyres............apart from that it is ready for its first test run at the Pod

Doing well, love the under car shots. :D

As tempting as it is to rev the nuts out of an engine when it first first up, it's better just to let it idle till the oil gets to everything.

Good going Dave but like Trev said you need to get the idle fixed before you hurt the bottom end. Good job once again and it seems so strange seeing you get in on the passenger side, as i am sure its strange for you seeing us getting in the other side also..lol

So, after much pain the car is now almost ready for next month!

http://www.babybda.co.uk/images/capri/idling.wmv

Had a mishap with the brakes, I pressed them so hard I bent the rod that goes in to the master cylinder.....ooops!

I also have to remove the sump andseal it properly, and change the oil.

Apart from that and a tune up she is ready to rock! (No nitrous and just a shakedown ;))

Its nearly there!

http://www.babybda.co.uk/images/capri/Capri%20Start.wmv

The job list is so small its not worth mentioning now!

It starts, it drives and it stops :) No leaks and I am mad enough to give it a try!

Will be done tomorrow......today I hae mostly been making the nitrous system live  Damn shit Yank system meant I needed 16 new jets just to get down to a 100BHP hit..........

Got a sight dilema in what to do with the fuel. I have 2 pumps, 2 carbs and 2 fuel solenoids. Now do I use one pump for each solenoid, t them together to get even pressure, or something completely else!

Also wired in my tacho so now I know how many RPMs I am thrashing out of it.

I am getting really excited now!

Dont worry the dip tube is fine........it is not one of Trevs bottles and it is therefore a bit heath robinson! Rest assured the dip tube is in the correct place.

Was working on the car on Saturday and noticed a strange noise.......about an hour later I realised it was the SPRV! it had a thick coating of ice and was happily venting as it was pretty hot! Maybe need to adjust it so I can get a bit more pressure before it vents!
