Could any give a basic run down of the various fittings that come with standard kits (including old ones like mine which have a 4mm nos feed). The sheer amount of fittings on the under the Nitrous Components section of the site is daunting.
For example, In my old second hand kit I dont seem to be able to find a fitting that connects the 4mm nylon to the bottle. It appears to be 5mm. But my Nos Solenoid has a 4mm input. What fitting is the bottle thread likely to be, and then what thread is need on that fitting to suit the 4mm olive and sleave.
I understand their are 5mm conversion kits but I dont want to spend money if I already have a suitable fitting and im not just seeing it the bundle of fittings that came with the kit.
Thanks.

Might be better with the 5mm line from bottle to nitrous pulsoid as the wall is thicker and it's a more robust pipe?.

All my maxflow valves are 5mm fitting to accept nut and olive.

You need a 4mm fitting for the Maxflow if staying 4mm?.

Yeah I could upgrade, but its gonna cost £60 for the upgrade kit which for the sake of a £100 2nd hand kit I really cant be bothered! I just wanna get it running first before I start updating and upgrading.

The best thing to do is post some pictures and if cost is a problem we usually have plenty of used fittings in stock from our R&D work, which we sell off at approx. half the new price.

First of all that's not one of our bottles and it is fitted with a US brand valve, which explains why it has the wrong connection.

We can supply you a used fitting to replace the existing brass one to connect to the 4mm pipe @ £4

Unless this is for a 3 cylinder engine of a Crossfire is hiding somewhere, you're also going to need another EARLY Crossfire, which I can take a look for but you'll be very lucky if we have one to match.

Thanks,
The crossfire wont be needed, the 'missing' one is already fitted to the car, as whilst the kit was bought as a 4port, its going in my cheap tintop as a single to test the kit whilst I decide if I want to fit the full thing it to my kitcar (whenever that gets finished!).

How do I go about ordering the other fitting you mention?

Thanks, Dave

Just call the office 01302 834343 and Janet should answer the phone. Just give here your card & postal details and tell her it's for the part I've just spoken to you about on the forum.
