This is why it's so important to mount the nitrous bottle as per the instructions.

Only one RIGHT way

trev, how would we know how much to rotate the bottle so that the bent part of the siphon tude, is facing downwards so we get maximum extraction?

The tube is bent to ling up with the outlet from the valve, therefore if the valve outlet is pointing downwards the tube will be in the right place (the lowest point of the bottle).

That's fine but not really feasible in many car applications because of possible bottle mounting positions.

In what direction should botlle point (in orientation to car moving forward)?

Valve pointing forwards with outlet pointing downwards is best.

I don't have room to have mine flat like the perfect way. How is this way? I plan to use one of the metal straps to mount it to the base at the bottom but I will adapt the other strap to attach it to the chassis behind the boot side carpet, so it sits more upright like this. It's the only way the bottle will go in my fairly tiny hatchback boot.

Anything between 90 degrees and horizontal is fine if it's mounted front to back.

Yep - That's the idea. Brett told me it would be OK to have it this way when I got the bottle filled up, but I always like to get opinions from more than one place. :D It might be installed on Saturday (I know.... Been a long time coming) but I need to get some fabrication work done and get the lpg regulators relocated and piped up. I have a feeling it's going to be a 2 day job....

Trev,

Is there any problem mounting the bottle parallel to the rear seats as opposed to perpendicular to them?

thanks

In general no and especially as long as the bottle is laying in line with the center line of the car but if it's across the car it would become a bit of a problem when the liquid level started to get low.
