My question is do they actually make a nitrous button for your steering wheel like the fast and the furious or was this just done to make the whole thing look better on screen than having a pressure switch under the accelerator pedal? Just curious.

There are steering wheels with horn buttons that could be used to activate a nitrous system BUT it's not the safest way to activate a system and the throttle peddle is the best.

The button was just for effect in the film.
