"...that by the end of the year i will be running a 300hp gen7 celica, via 100hp of nitrous on top of 200hp from the engine......"

but bloody hell its a battle to get things sorted!

I'm trying to get hold of TWO big fat 11lb bottles to feed the system. Hopefully should have both by mid september-ish...with these two, i'll never run out and feel like i effectively have a turbocharger! Minimax needed as is a fuel pump and de-cat exhaust!.

BUT the main purpose of this thread is this. In the next two weeks, i will be switching from my blitz short ram intake to an AEM cold air intake. What this means is i will have to decide whether a singlepoint injector would suffice for now and then get the pipework patched up later on when i go direct-port, or i will have to take the plunge now and get the direct -port conversion done now....realistically the minimax and fuel pump wont be with me until perhaps january, but not sure what to do in the meantime!

I get vacuum leaks in my current blitz inlet pipe (which sets off the engine check light and runs noticably lean) cos its got a hole patched up and don't want to have this problem with the new intake because its from america and i wont be able to get a replacement if it gets messed up.

so....take the plunge, or drill a new hole and continue for a few more months? :?

From what I have seen and heard about Celica intake designs a direct port should be used for 75hp and above for best distribution.

Can you post a picture of your intake manifold?

Where is Loopy when you need him? LOL

I would definitely go with direct port and be done with it. No need to ruin an expensive intake when direct port will need to be done at the power levels you want.

Dodge Neon SRT-4 intakes have a similiar lower TB and big upswing to the intake manifold. A customer used a single point 100 shot with great success but we figured the boost from his turbo was helping out some and he did gain a tenth or two by going direct port anyway.

I'm assuming you have a single point kit now?

Have you sen the direct port upgrade kits on the site? Not to much money.
