Hi,

I'll soon be commencing the installation of WON kit on my Citroen BX, mines the 16 valve with the pug Mi16 donkey.

Is there anything engine specific (positioning of atomising nozzle or otherwise) that I need to pay particular attention to?
How do these engines respond to NOS?

Cheers Tony.

Nothing in particular mate, just a basic instalation.

They really get on well with nitrous in these engines, just be careful to keep the total power down to under about 300bhp or the liners have a habbit of failing.

We've had a few with great results so you should have the same. ;)

Post a pic of the engine bay and we'll tell you where to put all the bits.

Regards

Thanks,

Picture of my engine bay, looking a bit worse for wear after being laid up for 4 years  . It has only done 79K (genuine) so I think its OK for the +40 bhp I hope to eventually jet for.

Injector position should be in the rubber hose close to the TB probably in the underside.

The Pulsoids will be good mounted in front of the AFM.

Thanks,

If I was to put the solenoids near to the AFM, I have checked (using bell wire :? ) and the total line length will be close to 4.3 Metres.

Is this still ok?

Cheers Tony

The supply line length is not too much of a concern, it's more important to have short Pulsoid to injector lengths.

With 40hp you should be okay with a single point injector. To much power may require a direct port kit as your runners do go uphill after the TB which can aid in fuel drop-out and poor distribution eventually.

Here is an example.

Thanks,

Racetested:

Just so I understand; if you add to much additional fuel down the intake line i.e./ at the crossfire injector. The fuel (petrol) no longer atomises effectively and droplets(?) will 'fall-out' of the fuel air mix? Is this correct? (I'm keen to learn more about nitrous, and stupid questions are allowed in this area of the forum...arn't they?) :)

Cheers Tony

Correct. This is Loopy's car and he said his single point injector worked effectively up to about 50-75hp if I remember correctly. Now he is at 150hp and needed direct port for proper distribution.
