went to install the fuel t piece into the fuel line connected it all up started car and the fuel is spraying out everywhere are the t pieces suppose to have rubber o rings if not any idea why i have a leak all the joints were tight but still managed a large leak i think its mainly leaking from the joint where the plastic fuel pipe connects to.
is it ok to use red plastic line for the fuel line

I'm assuming you have this tee fitting?
Image

Are you getting leakage where your main rubber fuel line slides over the barbs?

You must not have installed the olive correctly onto the red line out the top of the tee. You need to make sure that you hold the line in so it doesn't back out when installing the olive and crushing it into the pipe. Probably best to do this fitting first so you have a more stable surface then a flexible rubber line once fully installed.

if your talking about where the red pipe goes in it leaks, i remember when ryan reconnected mine after some work it pissed out of there, giving it a good hard turn with spanner eventually fixed it. i noticed he tightened it more than i would have.

maybe that will help

Correct Alfa! The bard for some reason seals a little harder than the other fuel fittings.

thats the one i have the leak isnt from the barb but the section where the olive and nut fit the main t piece has a nut which threads into the top of the t piece then to this the pipe/olive and small nut screw into i have tightened everything to the point where if i tighten any further something is going to break
thought id get my nitrous plumbed in fairly quickly but its becoming a bit of a mission and a headache

I would cut off the olive and start again, slip the nut over the pipe slide on the olive making sure that there is a small amount of pipe protruding through the olive tighten while holding the pipe when you think its tight enough gently pull the pipe then try to turn the pipe if it doesnt move you are ok. unscrew the nut check that you havent over tightened and crushed the pipe apply a small amount of thread sealer and re tighten, lt cost me a few olives before l got the hang of it. stick with it.

Do as Jimbo says and you should be fine. I'm assuming the aluminum of the tee barb makes it harder to seal then the stainless steel fittings for the rest of the fuel adapters line-up.

trust me id have thought the same, i saw ryan force it big time to seal it, it was definately more pressure than i would have tried.

the leak does not seem to be from the olive/nylon pipe it is the next attachment which screw into the red anodised section of the t piece

I assume this is a second hand kit????

If you have another fitting in the red anodised component then it's either a very old one and was supplied at a time when we were changing pipe size or it shouldn't be there at all and it isn't one of our parts.

Either way the solution is to post a pic for me to look at and then I can advise you what to do to cure the problem.

The one in the picture doesn't have an extra fittings as you describe having, can you send me a pic of that please.

If it's a fitting that we've supplied them all that should be needed is some thread sealer on it. However if it's not one of my parts then it may need replacing and I should be able to tell by looking at the pic.

no problem will get a pic out to you tomorrow but its exactly the same as shown i just had another part in the kit i presume it was for this as an olive/nut would not directly fit
will sealer hold 4.5 bar of fuel pressure

Both parts are ours and the kit must have been one that went out as we were changing from 5 mm to 4 mm pipe.

You have 2 options;
1) Use thread sealer on the threads (Loctite will do it) as it's not intended to seal without liquid sealer and was not designed to have a seperate seal.
2) We can sell you one of the latest fuel 'T's that doesn't need an adapter.

The normal price is £18 plus post plus VAT but I'll do you a part exchange unit for £12 plus VAT so drop the old one in the post with a note and all your details and we'll get one out to you.

It would be cheaper to just get some sealer. ;)

is sealer reliable m running 4.5 bar pressure of fuel dont like the thought of all that fuel on the hot exhaust saying that the engine would probably detonate before the fuel caught fire lol
is it easier if i purchase fittings and a bit of pipe for 5mm i presume it would 5mm nut and olive for t piece and a 5mm nut and a fitting to accept this 5mm nut for the solenoid is this all that i would need to change on the solenoid

The sealer would be more than adequate as we use it on the nitrous side as well (at 1,000psi) any other option is just a matter of swings and roundabouts and would work out about the same price. ;)
