I want to lay in the wiring for a pressure tranducer from the Max extreme in the glovebox to the bottle in the rear, I can understand one of the wiring diagrams which shows the R1 12v supply and R9 nitrous pressure input but cant work out how the Max switches a relay for a bottle heater relay, are there any wiring diagrams showing this

Yes ive got that one printed out, but you may have to spell it out for me, I get it theres the 12v R1 output from the max to the sensor and the R9 the nitrous pressure input to the max, I get the 12v supply voltage from the arming switch to the bottle heater relay coil terminal 86 and then on that diagram the wire from terminal 85 of the relay goes to the ECU, thats the bit i dont get, what is that ECU and how is the max switching that heater relay when the pressure in the bottle gets to the preset pressure.

Sorry if im being a bit stupid?

LOL no you're certainly not 'stupid' I run into the same problems all of the time, trying to figure out how things work.

I see what you're saying about the pin 85 on the heater. In the diagram, it shows that pin to connect to the output wires on the Maxy and it can use either one: Output 1 [yellow L10] and Output 2 [grey L5]. Once the Maxy sees a low pressure on the bottle, it grounds either output, and in this case, it would ground the relay to power the heater. That's why the wires for the ground on the Maxy are so beefy: it can handle a lot of power. You can use the outputs for any number of accessories besides a heater.

I hope that explains well because I'm HORRIBLE at explaining things. :drunken:

Ah yes all clear now, that Maxy certainly is a clever bit of kit, I may not fit a bottle heater straight away but wanted to install the wiring for a it if needed at al ater date
