Where would i typically find the RPM signal to connect the controller to, Ive worked out how to tap in to the TPS 0-5v signal, would it be an output from the crankshaft sensor?

That's possible, also the cyl 1 ignition coil and cam sensor will do. Whichever is easier.

I presume they could all give out different types of signal or pulses but the max extreme is capable of utilising any of them. I just need to find out which wire of any the above to connect the the controller. I had a look at your you tube instructional on the max extreme so things are starting to look clearer, a question though, to use the controller you program start, finish power by gear, how does the controller know what gear youre in?, i,m not aware that my car has an output or facilty for that!

By the time I actually start fitting the hardware I should hopefully have gained enough knowledge via all these questions.

Also just wondering, how come youre taking the lead on this forum on behalf of High Power in the UK, does no one from here monitor the forum? BTW I,m not complaining just curios LOL

As previously mentioned, there are no connections between my car and the Maxy; the Maxy simply counts the "gears" sequentially up to the 6th and then goes back to 1st, essentially starting the ramp all over again.

At this time, you're currently more knowledgeable about nitrous than 99.99% of the world's population, so you're ahead of the game already.

The Wizard himself (Trev) is currently enjoying his retirement and he entrusted me to do so. I supposed I'm as obsessed with the lovely nectar as much as he is. I feel as though this were my forum at times and I treat it as such. :bigsmurf:

Hooked up the max today I was really cheesed off when nothing happened till I read the wiring diagram and realised I had not connected system ground R2 and R3, then it lit up....too still cold to go outside and play :tard:

I was going to say that it's far fetched for it not to work lol. It would have probably bit the dust if it were anything but a WoN unit: WoN units have built in circuitry to prevent such situations exactly like this.

A shame that it's still brutally cold up there, whereas it's in the 20s C here. :P

Anyone know how much current a pair of pulsoids will draw when activated?

about 10 amps for 150 nitrous and 4 amps 150 fuel pulsoids. What is it you are attempting to accomplish?

Only that the wiring diagram states that 12 awg cable is required which I believe is capable of running 2 pairs of pulsoids, as I only have 1 pair and have some 2.5mm cable spare I could use that cable size instead which will easily handle 14 amps.
