Hi ,

could anyone tell me the max length for nitrous and fuel pipes from my sfbk(2) solenoids to the intake runners?
placing the system at the back would be good but it would have a fairly long run to the intake.

many thanks all,

dave.

The max length should be 12 inches. I've used over 30 inches in some cases, but the fuel delay would be an issue at higher power levels than I'm using.

Yes it can, as long as not excessive to the point where the liquid nitrous cannot flow out of the valve. The bottle valve must also be faced away from the direction of acceleration so that the liquid nitrous can find its way there.

Sorry for all the questions,Thanks again sir.

A question unasked is a question unanswered and knowledge not gained. :bigsmurf:

Just one matter to contribute to here;

1) The advice on the bottle angle depends on whether or not the bottle is fitted with a dip (siphon) tube or not

2) If the bottle has a tube fitted (as most have), then as long as the OUTLET of the valve is pointing downwards, the bottle can be mounted anywhere from vertical to horizontal.

3) In the above case best results would be obtain with the valve end of the bottle facing towards the front of the vehicle but it would still work adequately well if it wasn't but the nearer to horizontal that it was mounted, the more liquid nitrous would fail to exit the bottle, as the level fell.

4) If the bottle is mounted close to vertical and can't be mounted inline with the direction of travel, it is beneficial to rotate the bottle in the mounting, away from the direction of travel by up to 30 degrees.

5) If the bottle is not fitted with a tube, it is a whole different matter and in most cases the reverse of when using a bottle with a tube.

6) The bottle should be mounted with the valve at its lowest point

7) It can be mounted anywhere from vertical to approx. 30 degrees from horizontal

8) When not mounted perfectly vertically, the valve should be positioned away from the direction of travel

Final point, in the event of not being able to comply with the above instructions, it is sometimes possible to use 'special' arrangements to enable the bottle to deliver liquid nitrous but you'd have to contact me to discuss that if needed.

On the matter of pipe length, AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE is the instruction you should stick to but if you can't manage that, adding a Max Extreme would allow you to use ANY length of pipes, without the associated risks of excessively long pipe runs, thanks to its UNIQUE "Nitrous ONLY delay" feature.
