NITROUS OXIDE ( nos / n2o ) advice forum

Hi everyone.
Wizards Of Nos recently featured on Driving Wild presented by Mark Priestley on Discovery channel. Did anyone else watch it?

I recorded it on my phone and put it on YouTube incase you missed it. I started the recording at the point won is introduced as my phone memory was low.

YES!!! They made a wise choice going with the spider! They would have done even BETTER with a progressive controller.

Shame won couldn't ship some of their bottles but the least the production added a won sticker to the bottles instead.

I instantly recognised the logo lol

I know I was infuriated with NX staring at me. I was hoping they'd show more of the system itself since it was all they talked about in the episode.

So is this a TV program based in the US?

Shame about the NX part but it was good of them to show it with our sticker on it.

God knows what they were doing with the Spider but they were VERY LUCKY to have it work well after they'd dismantled it, which they shouldn't have done and shouldn't have needed to do.

If it is an American company, it's one in the eye for ALL the US nitrous companies, that they chose WON (and PAID FOR IT as we NEVER give product away even to TV companies) and a great deal of kudos for us.

At some point the guy mentions that he's going to be racing the quickest car in Cuba (I think), so is the program based in Cuba and either way, how did a Brit get to know about and/or see it?

I did a bit of digging on the internet Trevor and came across this:

The reason for the NX bottle is that the car WAS ALREADY EQUIPPED with an NX PERIMETER PLATE!

Look carefully at the initial carb removal, the plate can be seen as well as the extended studs for both the plate and the carb, fuel and nitrous pipes to it, EVERYTHING!

So then why is everybody acting like they've never seen a nitrous kit before?



Anyway, it's an even BIGGER kick in the face for NX since they got swapped out for the SUPERIOR WON SYSTEM!!!

Theres always an amount of staging in these shows

Theres a car show over here called Wheeler Dealers, hosted by a guy called Mike Brewer, basically they buy old cars and tart them up and sell them for a profit... The last 10 minutes of the show is usually Mike selling the car to someone and telling you how much profit hes made... but!

I recently read that quite often the sale is staged, and its sometimes a member of the production team posing as a buyer...

Yes that's all very true as I've first hand experience with ALL the TV companies, that have used our products, who have all TRIED to manipulate the TRUTH to suit themselves.

The worst example was Top Gear, who only gave us a few days to equip the car and when we encountered problems with the OEM electrics, they told me not to be concerned even if the system didn't work at all, as they would FIX IT so it still beat all the other cars.

I responded by saying that, unless we were able to sort the electrical issue, we'd take the system off as I wasn't prepared to win by deception. Thankfully we found the break in the ignition wires just in time and the rest is history.

I have many more examples of this so the lesson is, NEVER believe ANYTHING you hear/see on TV or any other media.
