Hello,

please can you tell me if the below configuration is ok? Main difference is that SW2 is gone and the throttle microswitch uses a switched earth from the ECU.

So the system is fully active when the correct map is selected from the ECU and the ECU switches Earth for the microswitch. Only thing I'm not sure about is the solenoids will always have power going to them. Just looking for a one switch solution rather than SW2 + ECU map switcher.

That should work fine because I'll be doing the same thing with my project. All that earth does is tell the MiniMax when to trigger nitrous. With SW2 gone, only the MiniMax will be on full time; the solenoids will only have power (current flow) when the MiniMax completes the earth for them.

I don't see why you would completely eliminate the arming switch (SW2), if there ever was a problem (highly unlikely) then you wouldn't be able to remove power from the solenoids and that could be a safety hazard. You can keep the arming switch in the "ON" position full time and still be able to cut power to the system in case of an emergency and without killing the engine to keep power steering and brakes.

I recommend keeping the arm switch there for safety reasons. It's your choice.

that's a VERY good point. I'll factor SW2 back in for Safety.

can't wait to install

Thanks !
