And that cutaway view of the SELENOID seems to have a hard metal piston face bearing down on the tapered ally inlet port face?? Maybe I'm seeing it wrong though?

I'm pretty sure you must be seeing that wrong, as even NX aren't that stupid and remember they had a bunch of my Pulsoids to inspect, long before they manufactured their POOR COPIES of them.
However, there is a guy in the US making/selling solenoids under the name 'Dragon', that he claims have something along those lines.
He's also the same guy who failed to understand that launching a new SOLENOID 'AFTER' I'd launched the REVO and claiming they were the best thing since sliced bread, was blatantly STUPID.

And the best of it is, that they fail to appreciate that FACT, despite being well aware of our REVO's and that applies to EVERY US nitrous company!!!!

Their philosophy is this;

If we can keep selling this junk to enough suckers to keep the profits increasing, why bother offering them anything better, especially when it means profits will fall due to all the R&D costs we'd have to pay for.

Jessie J sums it all up in her record "Price Tag" - just replace the word "dance" with "fast" and imagine it's me singing the words - which is probably going to be impossible while watching her sexy bod in this vid;
