Looks good... the only thing I would do is have the D-block mounted vertically with the fuel side facing upwards, but I can tell that there isn't much room to work with.

LOL all the more reason to leave them on; lure unsuspecting victims with ease then blast them with the JUICE!

hi all
hope this isn't a dumb question, but can i use the plastic retainer that comes with the crossfire injector to fit into the mini r53 alloy inter-cooler horn or are they purely for rubber hoses.
Thanks

Glad you sorted the retainer situation without my assistance Ted.

Not sure if the following only applied to early models and if so I'm assuming yours isn't one of them but just so you are forewarned either way;

It was brought to my attention that this kind of Mini would catch fire (EVEN WITHOUT NITROUS FITTED), as a consequence of the spark jumping from the HT leads to the bonnet and igniting the insulation in the process.
HT energy takes the easiest route to ground and under compression that isn't always across the spark plug gap, even NA but add nitrous and it becomes even less of an easy option.

I never heard of any customers suffering the problem after fitting nitrous but I always gave them the advice to fit better HT leads anyway, so that may have been why.

Magnacor HT leads are always beneficial even NA, so even if it's not a fire risk on your model, I'd still fit some for the performance benefits and you'll at least reduce whatever level of risk there may or may not be of it catching fire.

Hi trev..
well my eyes are sore with researching this little car, not a word about fire,but of course i will heed your advice..plenty to do before the nitrous install..its been well maintained and runs good even with the 109 k miles on it :shock: lol
fairly quick as is ..run-flat tyres to be ditched and a s/c pulley reduction kit on the list ;)
magnacor will be added for peace of mind...thanks again trev.

You're doing better than me... my nitrous candidate suffered an oil seal failure and dumped all of my oil on the road. :evil: :evil: :evil: :tard: :tard: :tard:
