That may well be the case but the US nitrous kit is also very likely to be either be entirely responsible or at least partially responsible for that, as they density of the nitrous varies so much, especially when they aren't fitted optimally.

Where has he run the supply hose, inside or outside the car?

Also just in case you haven't seen the note in your order, you can find the fitting instructions for most of yours here;

http://www.noswizard.com/installation-manuals

However, as yours is a bit 'special' (having dual fuel Pulsoids), might I suggest that you just put together a mock up of how you think the system should be fitted and then send me some pics to check over, before you cut any pipes etc. and then I can advise you if that's correct or not and save you a great deal of potential trouble.

Thanks Trevor, i will do that when i get home.

Found a suitable result and graph on our Facebook page, which had the following report with it;

Although even our fixed hit systems are world renowned for being very smooth, I thought I'd share this customers dyno example of the WON system on this Cosworth powered Escort, as it's an outstanding example of that. Starting with a baseline turbo 'only' power of 665 Hp, the addition of just 25 HP from his WON fixed system, produced an increase of an extra 54, taking it up to 719 Hp. Such a shame that NA engines don’t make as much from so little, as the nitrous would last much longer for more customers. Unfortunately the customer hasn't yet sent us any pictures of the car and the system, so we only have the dyno results for this one.

Even more impressively it made an extra 230+ ftlbs of torque.

Those are the most impressive PEAK figures I've ever seen from a US kit from a given jet size, so unless the WON system does even better on 70 HP jets, I'll be betting that somebody has got some numbers wrong.

Just out of interest and to make sure we're comparing apples to apples, what is the MEASURED actual jet size that is claimed to be 70 HP in that car?

Not entirely sure as i havent gotten that information just yet. All i know is its a speedtech kit with one pair of solenoids per bank and each bank is on a "35 shot". And 3 degrees of timing pulled out.

Speedtech is an unusual choice for such a vehicle but there's no real difference between that brand and any other US brand.
I'd still like to see the actual jet size measurement if you ever get chance.
I can't wait to see what the WON system makes on your motor, because it should be substantially more as proven by every other comparable contest. :yes:

On paper mine should make more and be quicker all day every day. That result is with 4-5psi more boost too, mine however on E85 should be fairly quick. Its a 10 second car on paper so lets hope i can translate that into a timeslip next month.

I'll be happy with a quicker (10 sec) time slip but I'd also like to see a dyno result that showed the WON system made more power from the same amount of nitrous. ;)

Having said that, even that wouldn't really be conclusive (just as making less wouldn't), because the only CERTAIN way of proving something like that, is by doing double back to back tests on THE SAME car, which unfortunately seldom happens.

That's why this test was so defining, as it was a double back to back test and WON clearly came out on top by a substantial margin;

http://www.noswizard.com/pdf/nitrous_shootout_web.pdf

It should also be kept in mind that the company who supplied BOTH kits, wanted BOTH of them to produce similar results as they sold both brands and as a consequence they CHEATED when using the US kit but it STILL didn't match the WON result.

The 'CHEAT' was that these were to be almost identical entry level kits, so neither had a purge solenoid. The WON system didn't need a purge solenoid to perform as well as it did but if the US kit had been used without a purge, the result would have been PATHETICALLY BAD, so they purged the hose MANUALLY (by using a spanner/wrench to cause a leak at the solenoid) to get that result.
Now obviously an average everyday guy isn't going to purge the hose like that so he'd either get worse results that indicated or he'd have to spend more money adding a purge kit.
To make matters even worse, 99% of US kits are fitted with the hose under the car but because these guys had 'some' of my knowledge (being my agents), they used that and fitted the hose inside the car, which prevented the liquid nitrous being vaporised as would normally be the case.
With our nylon pipe it is easy to run the pipe through the inside of the car, so we would have had that additional advantage, if the test had been TOTALLY REPRESENTATIVE of how both kits would NORMALLY be fitted and used.

Had the test been TOTALLY FAIR, the WON kit would have produced the same result but the US kit would have caused a LOSS in power for at least the majority of the run times, due to GAS in the supply pipe causing the engine to run excessively rich.

Ok so this is what i was planning, bear in mind this is focusing on hiding the system rather than achieving maximum performance.

I was planning on making a bracket to hold the pulsoids onto the radiator, with the fuel pulsoids at each end of the radiator as close to each intake as possible and the nitrous noid in the middle. I was also planning to make something to hold the lines against the radiator and wrap them in thermal shielding(a/c shielding maybe) to stop any heat getting to them and then putting my fan shroud back on to cover up any evidence.

Then i was planning to mount the crossfire injectors here, which i will paint black and with the lines tucked away and wrapped in flexible conduit.

What are your thoughts?

That all sounds fine but I'd;
1) If possible mount them in front of the rad as it's cooler there
2) Mount the fuel Pulsoids horizontally and with the outlets pointing towards the Crossfires
3) Mount the nitrous Pulsoid with the outlet pointing upwards as it'll be easier to access the jets

DO NOT mount the Crossfire there as it MUST be mounted in a location where the fuel and nitrous DO NOT FLOW UPWARDS to any great extent.
They MUST be located in the hose I've indicated by the yellow arrow but they can be in the underside of it;

It is often difficult to hide a system and still keep it installed correctly. The system I'll be using in my lexus will be quite obvious LOL. Trev, there may be an inline 6 DP in my future... just sayin' :albino:
