I have an e32 750iL with the V12 M70b50 engine. As it stands with a few bolt on mods, it is putting out at ~296 HP at the wheels. If you are familiar with this engine, there is not much more I can do in the way of worthwhile modding, other than forced induction, which can cost significant $$$'s to do properly.
In comes nitrous oxide as a worthy alternative.
My goal is to have over 400HP on tap - reliably.
I would like to start with an affordable basic entry level ~50-100HP kit, then slowly work my way up in terms of power and accessories (bottle heater, remote opener, controller, etc.....) as I go up the nitrous learning curve. This motor is well suited IMHO for forcing additional oxygen in the combustion process, having forged internals and lowish compression (8.8:1) from factory. Just screaming for boost or nitrous
.
I've read up on it quite a bit, and like to think I have a pretty good idea of what I am getting into + what would be required. I'm starting this thread to get some feedback re: the basics to get into the game.
Any thoughts, experiences, suggestions, and so on are welcome!
