Hi Trev et al

Just about to buy a new set of plugs as part of a service prior to my nitrous install.

Can you advise on which ones I need? The current plugs are rated at 7, so I've been looking for one grade colder, i.e. 8.

This seems to be the one I keep coming across, but it's an iridium plug. Is that a potential issue?

Then there's this one, but it's a 7 not an 8:

Also this one - but this a BCR not a BKR so I understand might not connect up properly?

Thanks :)

Tim

Edit: The nice gentleman at Camskill thinks the iridium plugs are decent quality and should be fine - however he's not a N2O expert! Also just realised this should be posted in Questions and Advice forum - mods please feel free to move it!

Edit 2: Having spoken to another FTO owner who successfully ran a WON N2O system, he used the colder (8) iridium plugs without a problem, so I'm going to go for those and see how I get on. Any input here still appreciated!

Hi Tim,

I've no doubt this will be far too late but I've only just discovered your post.

It seems we have some problems with the site sending out emails to inform me of new posts, so I'm sorry for any inconvenience it caused and I just want you to know that I didn't ignore your post intentionally.

Hi Trev

No problem, I assumed there must have been a good reason for your not replying as you'd always been very helpful up to that point!

It is as you assume somewhat too late now. I had a chat with a couple of chaps from the Owners' Club and Camskill and have gone with the NKG Iridiums, rated at an 8. Hopefully these will be fine.

I've also uprated the ignition cables, changed the oil and tyres and put in new uprated brake pads. My insurance is up for renewal next month so I can change to a nitrous friendly company and get on with the install.
