NITROUS OXIDE ( nos / n2o ) advice forum

Could somebody tell me the max nitrous weight in a 20 oz bottle. Also on filling is it better to empty the bottle of the gas then refill? . Thanks

Ok so I've just read a thread that trev has already done. And he has made it simple. I'm thinking that my 20 oz bottle will hold 20 oz of nitrous. So a full bottle will weigh 20 oz plus bottle and valve weight. Well that's easy. Also am I right in thinking that I need to purge line before filling. Do I connect line to bottle valve but not tighten. Then turn on big bottle . Let nitrous flow then nip up connection. And lastly open valve on empty bottle.

Correct on all counts but make sure you avoid escaping nitrous making contact with your skin as it will BURN.

its about 560 gramms.
